A huge apartment with three bedrooms and three toilets. Equipped with high end Miele appliances, good wifi and good hot water but the showers are terrible and you have to hold the heads which get quite hot in your hand to shower. There are two bathtubs however and we tended to use them rather than flood the floor as the shower screens are inadequate. The beds are not comfortable and the air conditioning doesn't work but three tower fans are supplied. The apartment is on the first floor of a narrow street with the no.28 tram passing up and down. Very convenient but very noisy, along with cars blowing their horns and people talking so loudly almost outside the windows. Annoying but amusing for a three day stay. There is a swimming pool which we did not use but which would be good for a longer stay. There is a little supermarket nearby and so many very good restaurants and cafes in the Main Street and the side streets. Apart from the noise it is a perfect place to stay in central Lisbon.
We chose this apartment because it was advertised as having a parking space with direct elevator access from the garage to the apartment. It doesn't because of some problem and at first we were told by the check in agent, this is not a booking directly with the owner but through an agency, that there was no parking available. This was one of the main reasons for booking this apartment because we are traveling by car with a lot of luggage. After almost losing my temper the agency found us another car parking space in a building further down the street which meant that we had to bring all our luggage up the steep cobbled street in several trips. We managed with a lot of effort and frustration.
For the size of the living room, the TV set is very small but with a plethora of channels although we only watched some of the Tour de France. No reception for Wimbledon tennis. We never met 'Ema', I think she is an employee of the agency, but our check in was completed by a very helpful guy called Antonio who speaks flawless English and gave us very good advice about Lisbon and some local restaurants, especially A Cervichiera, a Peruvian restaurant nearby.
Would I stay there again? Maybe because the location is so central and the space is huge. But the parking and the noise is a big negative.
