Apartment was just as advertised. Good value, clean, helpful host. A rental car is recommended if you're staying here. Relatively close to the main attractions on the island. Couldn't ask for more given the price.

Juerg was absolutely fantastic! A pleasure to deal with and explained everything very detailed. Never made you feel as if you were a bother, always willing to help with absolutely everything and anything you needed. We rented a SUV from Swiss praise that was perfect and excellent on gas. We toured the entire island from top to bottom numerous times and only went through one tank the entire week. The property gave a secluded private feeling but was within a five minute drive from downtown and everything you need. I would definitely recommend to any of my friends and will most definitely will be back.

The Swiss Paradise property was nice. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers and the AC worked wonderfully. The king size bed was just what we like. And the kitchen amenities worked fine for our one week stay. (We didn’t do much cooking.) Our host was kind enough to rent us one of their cars, albeit at a steep price of $350 for one week. (It was a used sub-compact with 66,000 miles on it.) The property is located on the north end of the island, about ½ miles inland from the beach (west side). Swiss Paradise complex is located on a side street so there was little traffic. (Although there were plenty of dogs in the neighborhood and they made themselves heard night and day.) Upon arriving at the airport, the promised greeter and transport driver was nowhere to be seen. We arrived at night and waited around for 20 to 30 minutes, looking high and low for someone who might resemble “a guy with a red shirt having a Swiss flag emblem”. We did not have a working cell so it was not possible to call our Swiss Paradise host. We elected to take a taxi. (A $30 cost that was later reimbursed.) Our host later explained that the driver got sick and sent his mother but she could not find us at the airport. (We never noticed a woman looking for two American travelers…and the airport is small.) We were told housekeeping would be cleaning our unit every second day. That didn’t happen. Our unit got cleaned once in the seven days we were there. (We had to find someone on the property complex to inquire about the cleaning schedule. She spoke negligible English.) The day before we were to leave, our host came to our unit to inform us that we should be ready to go at 8am the next morning. (We had an 1130am flight and the airport was 30 minutes away.) He explained that it would likely be busy at the airport so it was best to get there early. Transportation to the airport was being provided by our host (probably the Swiss Paradise driver who didn’t pick us up when we arrived). Well, the morning of departure came and we were packed and ready to go at 8am…but no driver showed up. We sat waiting for 30 minutes wondering what happened. (Again, since we did not have a working cell phone we could not call our host.) We elected to use the rental car provided by our Swiss Paradise host and drove ourselves to the airport. (We left a note stating we drove to the airport and would leave the keys under the driver’s seat.) All in our entire trip was fine other than experiencing poor guest management on the part of our Swiss Paradise host. We are experienced Airbnb travelers and require little in the way of day-to-day “touches” but this trip was not...

Great location, accommodations and price!

We had a wonderful stay at Tina's establishment. The units were modern, tastefully decorated, and had everything you would expect in any hotel, but at a fantastic low price. Close enough to the busier high rise resorts, but far enough to avoid the crowds if you wanted. Already planning our next trip back.

We stayed here for one night and it was great. The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable with all of the amenities we wanted - internet, DirectTV, etc. The pool just outside of our door was very nice. Tina and Juerg are gracious hosts and very helpful and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

I can't thank Tina and the crew enough for their friendly hospitality! Tina not only gave me suggestions on places to see/go, but she actually took me on my own personal tour to a "secret" (Local) snorkeling area, and to the abandoned gold mines. She was quite the tour guide, explaining all of her theories as to how the gold was mined in the 1800s as well as violent tale of the Pirates killing "The Frenchmen" and the Indians who worked there at the time. The room was nice, and cozy, as I expected. Everything worked as it should. They even let me hang out for a few hours after checkout while I had some time to kill. I would definitely recommend Tina and Swiss House for anyone looking for affordable, high-quality lodging on Aruba. Next time, I'll bring the whole family, and look at renting a private villa!
