Welcome to my Bohemian New York City sanctuary... lovingly styled with tactile textures from all over the world, this space is zen on a quiet block in the middle of Manhattans most authentic "last remaining neighborhood"! Convenient, hip, unique, I offer my home to love as your own while experiencing the best of my fair city.
No smoking. No pets. No guests. No parties.
Please respect my neighbors, that is a must. Keep noise low...
Please be respectful of items/space that are noted off limits.
...And pls water my plants:), I cherish them.
Orchids: very LIGHT sprinkling every few days
Other plants: once a week
This is also a NO shoes house, so please leave them just inside the front door.
Im sure these do not apply to you... I am a long term host and in the past random issues have occurred so its important I reiterate the following, bc sometimes, people are silly;):
-Do NOT hang ANYTHING from the curtain rods whatsoever other than the curtains. No blankets, scarves, etc.
-Please do not eat on the furniture, dining table ONLY.
*If the furniture is stained or a messy accident happens like the french press explodes all over the kitchen, the ceiling, and on to my furniture, you will be charged extra cleaning fees to fix it*
-NO copies of keys whatsoever.
**If you lock yourself out and require assistance, you will be charged**
-Water filter: it will overflow if you fill it too high. Please also mind it, and keep it safe. Its expensive to replace the filters inside and the attachments. I'm so happy to provide you with clean, healthy water and help battle the use of plastic bottles, but keep in mind, do not fill it with anything other then tap water to filter. It takes about an hour to filter all the way through once filled at the top. I have to charge you should it break/ be misused.
Trash gets taken out daily, easy bins to use for recycling and regular trash in the hallway ... pls recycle your cans, bottles, paper:):). Leaving it long term, not such a good plan in the city.
Communication: guests need to be accessible via text or if you are based outside the US pls use Whats app for mobile. If you dont have it, download it before arrival. Its the fastest and best way to communicate with all international guests, and myself to you when I am traveling for work abroad.
Check in: usually set after 1pm, check out is usually 11am. If you need special arrangements, pls let me know BEFORE booking so we can coordinate. If you request a late check out, I will do my best to accommodate.
Check out rules: 11am (unless otherwise agreed). All keys are left on the hall table. All bins must be emptied of rubbish. Paper products must not be left empty (as noted above this is a community based system). Apartment must be left in good condition. Any dirty towels pls place in a pile on the bathroom floor.
PLEASE NOTE: you must notify when you are on your way into the City from the airport... you will need to do that via wifi or cellular.
**Relatives living in the City cannot pick up keys early for you. Registered guests only**
**There is a special business in the area that will hold your bags for a low price if you need more time after check out before you leave for the airport post check out, very handy!**
A sincere thank you in advance for respecting my home.
