Situated in a rural area between the West Entrance to the National Park and the East in 29 Palms, with views in all directions, on five private acres of pristine desert, next to working date ranch. Enjoy skies like you've never seen them! Explore the five acres, its wildlife and manmade features. A great spot to recharge, to visit the Park and to enjoy life in the Hi Desert. #desertheightshideaway
The fully renovated cabin has two bedrooms, with a queen sized bed in each, with two patios, one off the bedroom and facing Indian Cove. There is wireless internet, a bathroom and shower, air conditioning and heating. Outdoors there's a fire pit and of course, a barbecue.
The cabin is very secluded, on its own five acres, next to a date grove, and with beautiful views of the Joshua Tree National Park and Mounts San Gorgonio and San Jacinto which form the pass from Los Angeles to the Coachella Valley where Palm Springs is located. The area is the Morongo Basin of the Mojave's Hi Desert, elevation about 2,000 feet, so it's cooler and wetter than the lower deserts.
The cabin is between the towns of Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms, minutes from Indian Cove and the Fortynine Palms Oasis in the National Park and between the main entrances to the Park in Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms. The Park, of course, is full of gorgeous hikes and drives.
The Western town of Joshua Tree has a few great places to eat and a wonderful farmers' market on Saturday mornings. The antiquing in local thrift stores, and a weekly swap meet in Yucca Valley, can be a lot of fun too.
Outside the cabin, there's a lovely palo verde tree favored by birds including roadrunners, quail and finches and a little tub near the old outhouse to give them plenty of fresh water.
It's a wonderful spot for artists, writers and musicians, or anyone who wants to recharge and connect with the desert.
Guests have access to the entire five acre property.
You'll have the place all to yourselves.
