Newly renovated two-bedroom flat in a well-maintained gated community across from Idlewild Park and the Truckee River. 15-minute walk on a tree-lined path to downtown, 30-minute walk to the university. On the Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway.
The Village at Idlewild Park is far enough from downtown Reno to be quiet, almost suburban in feeling, yet within 15 minutes' walking distance along a river path, or faster on two wheels along the Riverside Drive bikeway, of a vibrant arts, shopping, and dining district. A slightly longer walk through leafy neighborhoods leads you to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Guests will have full use of the apartment including kitchen utensils & appliances (including washer/dryer and dishwasher), coffeemaker with coffee, milk and sugar provided, and a selection of teas and other foodstuffs. A good selection of books, radios & TV (Apple TV and DVD player, no cable TV connection), good wifi, patio, and one reserved parking spot (not suitable for RV). Beds furnished with linens and comforters, Two full baths with clean towels & toiletries. Air-conditioned in summer. Village amenities (pool (in summer), spa, and exercise room) are available subject to Village at Idlewild Park HOA regulations.
When I am in town I will meet guests and give a brief orientation. When I am not around, I might have an on-site agent do the same. I will be available by mobile phone at all times in case of problems.
In the summer, Food Truck Friday across the street in the park! In the winter, ice-skating downtown! The Reno Beer Crawl fourth Saturday of every month!
No pets, please. No smoking at any time except on the patio and in outdoor public spaces. Please pick up and properly dispose of butts, and be aware of possibly flammable landscaping. Please leave kitchen and bathrooms wiped down and reasonably clean, rinse dishes after last use, bag and remove to dumpster all trash and garbage, and strip bed(s). You can pile used towels with the bedding on the floor. Please take care not to scratch or ding hardwood floors. Thank you!
Local resident for over well 40 years, love Reno's proximity to Lake Tahoe and northern California, as well as the basins and ranges of northern and central Nevada. I'm an outdoor guy, who loves music, books, and bicycling. No better day than a warm summer or fall afternoon floating down the Truckee from the apartment to Reno's riverwalk for a pub lunch and a free concert in the park.
