- THE COST OF THE CITY TAX (EURO 1,50/PERSON/NIGHT FOR MAX 5 NIGHTS) IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE
Starting August 24, 2011 and subsequent amendment October 1, 2012 tourists staying in the territory of the Municipality of Venice are required to pay a tax for the city. It is to be paid directly to the host upon check-in. I’m happy to make it easy and INCLUDE it in the rate of the apartment. The tax will be paid in full by my online account to the City of Venice.
The amount is € 1.50 per person per night for a maximum of 5 nights. For children up to 9 years old there is no tax, and between 10 and 16 years old is 50% of the adult cost.
- THE COST OF FINAL CLEANING IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE
While ensuring an INCLUDED final cleaning service, we ask our guests the kindness to leave the apartment tidy. We will appreciate to be advised of any failure or breakage during the stay.
The property must be returned in the same conditions as it found. The cost of any damage and breakages that occurred during your stay will be charged to you.
- HOW DO VENETIANS GET RID OF THEIR GARBAGE
In Venice there are no garbage cans on the streets, because the streets are so narrow and because we want to maintain hygiene and decorum of the city.
You CANNOT put your rubbish outside your front door otherwise you get fined. You have to take your non-recyclable and recyclable household waste to the boat moored on the San Stin canal every morning or whenever you need, from 6:30am to 8:30am from Monday to Saturday.
On Monday, Wednesday and Fridays there is also a separate collection for PAPER, and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday GLASS, ALUMINUM and PLASTIC.
WHO DO NOT EXPECT THESE RULES IS FINED! SANCTIONS STARTS FROM 167.00 EURO
If you are a Venetian resident, the SPAZZINO, or garbage-collector, makes an agreement with you, rings your door bell and takes everything in his wheeled cart to the boats. Because you are a temporary guest and he doesn’t know you personally, you are supposed to take care of your garbage personally.
PLEASE DON’T LEAVE YOUR GARBAGE DOWNSTAIRS AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE BUILDING. IT IS FORBIDDEN!
IF YOUR CHECK-OUT IS ON SUNDAY, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR GARBAGE ON SATURDAY MORNING.
You are allow to leave a small quantity of your last waste in the kitchen, under the sink, in the special grey container.

From the few pictures online, you cannot see how finely appointed the apartment is, the quality of linens you sleep in, the beauty of fine Rubelli upholstery, the variety of Venetian cookies (from Burano island) that you find in your kitchen as a welcome, in addition to the cold or hot drinks waiting for you.
We value good relationships and clear communications with our guests from all over the world, and we take seriously the high quality of the service we offer. We aim to deliver beauty, grace, culture, and excellent hospitality.

I was born in Venice, and I have spent most of my life in Venice. Over time I have noticed how the city has changed—how it has adapted itself to the new demands of modernity, in its own particular fashion.
Since 2011 I leave the city often, and every time I return to Venice I feel as if I’ve lost my bearings. I seem to find myself in a halfway state, between someone who’s spent his childhood in a place and delighted in its spirit, and someone who feels from time to time like a mere observer in that place.
I believe both outsiders and Venetians can share the same emotions before the unique beauty of the city. Feeling the same sensations, I cannot help but adhere to a common vision—true, passionate, gratifying, and grateful for a culture that has marked Western history. At heart, any foreigner who really loves Venice is also a Venetian.
I love nature and culture, both global and local. I believe in sharing, learning, exchanging and respecting.
I’m very energetic and active. I love photography, and I’m especially passionate about traveling.
