Cecilia's place was fantastic! We arrived in the afternoon from the ADO bus and checking into the room was perfect. The room was very big - much bigger than expected, and had refreshing AC, great for our walk from the bus. The room and the grounds were incredibly clean. We appreciated the little touches; every day we had fresh towels which were folded into swans and flowers, there was fresh coffee in the morning and fruits and breads for breakfast and wonderful bikes to use. The decor and courtyard were so beautiful and meticulously maintained. Staff were very friendly, hospitable and always had a smile on, we felt very comfortable here. The location is wonderful, close enough to walk to restaurants and shops (within a 5 minute walk or 1 minute bike) but also tucked away enough to really feel like you're home. We felt very secure as well, the hotel has a locked gate and there was always a staff member around during the evening hours. The only hiccups were the Wi-Fi being spotty but that's everywhere we'd stayed in Mexico, and there were some noisy dogs at night but earplugs did the trick. We loved our stay here and did not want to leave. I would definitely recommend this space. Gracias Cecilia and staff!
The place itself is a hotel located in convenient Downtown Tulum. The room provided the basics: clean towels, shampoo and soap, and a TV and came equipped with a small kitchen. Our bed was too firm for me, but they switched our rooms with no problems. Around 8 am they served some apples, bread, coffee and tea. The last day here was a strange sign on the door saying they were shut down, but we could still access the property. For the price, everything was in order.
The room is in a hotel, which is in a good location. Its in Tulum town so theres lots of restaurants, bars, shops and a supermarket nearby. You can hire bikes from there or lots of places in the town to cycle to the beach and ruins and everywhere. It is clean and Theres a little kitchen in the room and a fridge, so you could cook of you wanted. They make the beds everyday which is good! The bad thing was that the water From our shower was awful... It wasn't possible to shower properly two days. We asked to move to another room and the receptionist called someone to fix it which worked for about 5 mins. We had to keep filling a saucepan from the sink to rinse ourselves, as there was only a few drips of water coming out.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 1 night for Easter week, it was just like the pictures, the location was very centric walking distance from small shops and the main street. Great WiFi, warm water and good working air conditioning. The host was very helpful and fast at responding. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you!
