Driving the NYS Thruway or bicycling through, need to take a break, get a good night's sleep? Visiting family/friends? Prospecting for Herkimer diamonds? Moss Island rock-climbing? Need some Upstate NY peace? Private-entrance bedroom w/private bath. Shady, quiet private deck right off the room.
This rental room is right in town, walkable to everything--dining, shopping, exploring, rock climbing, etc.
Double bed, suitable for one person or a couple. Bathroom with shower! Couch. (It's the college-age son's room and he's essentially moved out.)
We *can* set up a nice air mattress if needed, though of course this will limit your floor space!
This is a well-preserved older home in the Historic District. As such, it is not like staying in a motel--it is comfy, not fancy; it is clean, not antiseptic. You will find it quiet, private, and very comfortable. The blue and white color scheme is also soothing.
Right outside your private-entrance door is your own private deck, with two Adirondack chairs and a table. It's shady and peaceful...enjoy your morning coffee or relax in the evening.
Private entrance, private back deck. (Our kitchen is overhead. So you might hear our footsteps or dishes being washed.)
Kitchen use: You are welcome upstairs when we are at home, of course! You may store your travel food in our fridge or, if you prefer or if you are staying for a few days, we have a small "dorm fridge" that can be plugged in right in your room--just ask! You may cook in our kitchen or heat food in the microwave--again, just ask.
YES, we have wireless internet.
As much or as little as you wish. We're nice, but we'll leave you alone if you are busy.

We do not serve breakfast, as a rule--not because we are bad cooks, but because Little Falls is fortunate to have a really wonderful local diner a short walk away on our Main Street. We are always urging our guests to go try their delicious, locally-sourced, home-cooked food. Look it up! It's called--appropriately--That Little Place on Main.
That said, we are certainly happy to share our good coffee, or tea if you wish, juice, milk, toast, whatever, if you don't need a bigger breakfast, or if you want a wee snack before heading down to the diner...
Well-behaved pets are okay--check with us.
The local YMCA is steps from our door; you can work out or use the pool or sauna for a day fee. If you are a runner or cyclist, we can point you to good routes.
No TV in your room, sorry. Good for sleeping! :)
Quiet after 10 pm. No smokers. No guests. No partying--no alcohol or drugs.
Talk to us if you need to store things in our fridge or use the laundry room. (For longer stays, we can provide a "dorm fridge" in the room if you'd like.)
There is no set check-out time. Let us know what you have in mind and we'll work it out.
Please, do not disturb our neighbors! Our airbnb is keeping a low profile in a relatively quiet in-town neighborhood and we wish to be respectful of those around us. So, specifically, we ask our guests: don't walk on their property, knock on their door or flag them down looking for us if we are out*, honk your horn, yell, play or sing loud songs, etc.!! * you will have my cell # if you must reach us for any reason.
