This is a special time for you and you will find our comfy yet elegant home the perfect place to rest and recoup. The rooms are light filled and look out on expansive green yards. Our plantings and flowers help make the outdoors even more relaxing and comfortable. We love hosting friends here as there are so many places to gather indoors and out.
I love the natural stone touches on counters, shower floors, walls, and floor runners. We have a fully stocked kitchen which you are welcome to use. There are towels for the pool, wood for the fire place, and you will find bouquets of flowers in your bedrooms. We will try to anticipate your needs and make it happen for you! If there is something that you need, let us know before your visit.
The house is yours in which to recoup and relax. If you are lucky you will be able to lie in the sunroom and watch a storm come up from the south, while you stay warm and dry! Last night we laid out by the pool and watched shooting stars for hours. We have candles and hurricane lamps for elegant nighttime fun.
We will probably be staying in Radnor someplace close, so you will be able to get our help with anything that you need. If you rather that we are in the house with you, we can always do that as well.
Philly is a mecca of wonderful restaurants, bars, historical sites and good old fun. We can help you figure out great plans for your days. Don't miss Chanticleer (a spectacular garden) here in Radnor.
We have a CAT and little Stella comes with the house!! She is self-sufficient and can sleep outside if you prefer. If you are really allergic, this might be an issue. We keep our house very clean, will have it professionally cleaned for you before you arrive, and many friends who are allergic still come and have zero issues, but wanted to make sure you are aware.
Treat our house as you would treat your own. Sure that goes without saying. Wet towels hang in laundry room (not on wood furniture) or outside on decks. Do not come in soaking wet from the pool, please towel off.
Also no parties at the house. What is a party? It's a gathering with people who are not staying here. Our rules are 8 or less guests staying at the house.
I am from Radnor, PA (suburb of Philly), I work as a child psychologist in an indpendent school for the past 20 years and in private practice (even longer). I love traveling widely, yoga, practicing mindfulness and working out. Adore my kids who are now 20 and 23 years old and more fun than ever, and my husband, and basically life in general!
