We are going to be out of town for a bit and have decided to rent our home while we are gone. We are looking for guests who are in town for short term employment contracts or have some other reason to need a place for a month or longer. We blocked dates past the end of November but it's available all winter if you want to stay past November.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven, pots and pans, silverware, cups and glasses. Everything you'd need for an extended stay. The bed is made with Egyptian cotton sheets and down pillows. There's a full balcony that you are welcome to enjoy.
There is ample free street parking.
We are experienced travelers and know the things that are nice to have in a place. It's our intention to have set the apartment up the way we'd like to see a place when we travel. There is an iron and an ironing board, washer and dryer on premises, some coffee for the first day, a few spices, olive oil, foil and other such things that are convenient to have when you first arrive. There is high speed wi-fi.
Alberta is arguably the most art friendly area of Portland and while many of the artists moved when the area became more prosperous there are still lots of artists around. What we do have in abundance are great one of a kind restaurants and shops. Last Thursday attracts thousands of people each month and it happens just two blocks away.
The building was built in 1913 and completely updated in the 1990's with new plumbing, wiring, heating, kitchen and bath. Downstairs there is a small “gallery” with a new show every month and a couple of murals that rotate several times each year. Jenny is a full time artist, Magnus a sometime photographer and long term patron of the arts.
