Top two floors of a historic 1900 limestone townhouse on a tree-lined street. Newly renovated home with modern kitchen and baths and traditional bones. Near Prospect Park, Barclay's, Bk Museum, Franklin Ave restaurants and several subways.
This bright, newly renovated apartment is the top two floors of a townhouse from 1900, with 12 foot ceilings, wood floors and exposed wooden beams and brick, 2000 square feet in total. The lower floor is completely open, with a big, cozy living area in the front, and an open kitchen with new Viking appliances and a dining table in the back (the table seats ten). The back of the house has big doors which open onto a balcony with a table, seating and a grill. There is a half bath on this floor. Upstairs there is another sitting area with a daybed, two children's rooms (one twin bed, one toddler bed), an a master bedroom with a queen bed. There is a bathroom with a shower off the master, and another bathroom with a tub and shower off the hallway. Both bathrooms have heated floors. The kitchen is a well-stocked with good cookware and all the basics, and there are ample sheets, towels and bath products. There is a washer/dryer, dishwasher, wifi and Apple tv.
This is our primary residence, so if you are renting it, it's because we won't be here. However, we are always available to answer questions, provide neighborhood recommendations, or help in any other way we can.
Please note that although we have three bedrooms, this house is not a good option for a group. Only one bedroom is set up for adults. The other two bedrooms are children's rooms, so the space works best for an individual, a couple or a family. There is no additional per person charge for children. We have a Baby Bjorn pack and play, as well as a single twin mattress that could accommodate another child.
As you may have noticed in the photos, there is a cat who lives here. He can go elsewhere for longer stays, but for weekends he will be in the apartment. He's nice. Pet him.
As with any guest, we mostly just ask you to please leave the house the way you found it. We are open to pre-arranged events, but unless this has been discussed beforehand, no partying is allowed. No smoking is allowed. We ask you that you take your shoes off both for the benefits of our rugs and for the people downstairs. We have children, and while we welcome guests with children, the house is not childproofed for babies. Our banister is open and there are no gates on the stairs. Let us know if you break something. Basically, we hope you will take the same care with our home as you would with your own.
