Perfect location for skiing, hiking, biking being centrally located between Sierra, Kirkwood, and Heavenly! Countless trails a stone's throw away.
Minutes to town! This charming, classic Tahoe Chalet is situated on a beautiful lot surrounded by Forestry Service land with mature Pine and Aspen trees and beautiful boulders. A rushing creek flows through the backyard and the Truckee river is a short walk through public land. A true mountain retreat close to everything!
This is the perfect home for folks looking for a true mountain getaway, but still minutes to everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Truly the best of both worlds. Situated on a very quiet street, surrounded by beautiful Tahoe trees and mountains on all sides, it provides a very peaceful, intimate setting. Sitting on the private back deck you feel like you are in the middle of the majestic Sierra but just a short drive to Stateline and all of the action that South Lake Tahoe has to offer.
The town of Meyers is just a few minutes up the road providing several dining options, a grocery store, and my favorite local watering hole, the Divided Sky (which also has great food and live music).
The house is equipped with a newly renovated, state-of-the-art kitchen ideal for making a nice home cooked meal. THREE outdoor decks to spend time on. Two large wireless-enabled/smart flat screen tvs provide cable, Netflix, and streaming music entertainment. A large game room upstairs provides plenty of entertainment featuring a pool table.
The downstairs bedrooms and upstairs bedroom/loft feature comfortable queen size beds and lots of storage space.
Two full bathrooms (including a newly added full bathroom and sky light upstairs) make the house completely comfortable for a group.
Just out back of the house is the Upper Truckee River with a nice beach to relax in the sun on a nice warm day.
The house comes equipped with plenty of clean towels, sheets, and blankets. Guests are welcome to contents in the pantry and fridge which typically include coffee, and other condiments.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or anything you may need via e-mail and cell phone.
One minor detail - cell phone service is a bit limited in this neighborhood due to being situated between two large mountains. A landline is available for use at the house.
Originally from the sticks of Georgia, a job took me out to San Francisco and 10 years later I call both San Francisco and Lake Tahoe home. The best of both worlds.
I love to travel and especially enjoy an authentic, non-hotel experience which is why I would like to share my home with others to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer. It's truly a special place!
