Plus, we're at the end of a cul-de-sac and back directly to National Forest- it’s the perfect place to relax after a day of skiing, hiking or sightseeing.
The home has six nicely appointed bedrooms with soft sheets, fluffy pillows and cozy down comforters. Three have great views of the lake, forest and trees, and in the kid's rooms there are plenty toys and games for the little ones.
You will find a heated hot tub located in an indoor/outdoor solarium so you can either stay warm inside or open the giant sliding doors for lake views, cool air, and star gazing.
The great room has a comfortable seating area with a new wood burning fireplace, a 50' flat screen TV with HD Cable, DVD, VCR and stereo. The floor to ceiling windows look out to the lake and National Forest. The large dining table seats up to 12 people with eat-up counter space in the kitchen as well. The loft, which overlooks the great room, is a perfect retreat to check email, enjoy the view, or send the kids for a movie. The home entrance has ski and coat racks to store your gear, and in the garage you will find plenty of snow sleds to keep the kids happy for hours.
Our cabin is only 15-20 minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood ski resorts, and 5 minutes to Tahoe City shopping and nightlife.
Page Meadows is two blocks away for fantastic snow shoeing and cross-country skiing in winter and hiking and mountain biking the rest of the year. For summer fun, the closest beaches are only a 5 minute drive.

We do not live in Tahoe full time. The house is a full vacation rental
NOISE: Noise travels in our neighborhood and we have several full time residents. Guests are expected to be courteous of others and not have loud parties at the house. Guests are expected to quiet down by 10pm.
CHECK-IN: Unless otherwise agreed, Check in time is 4:00 p.m. on your day of arrival.
CHECK-OUT: Check out time is 11:00 a.m. on your day of departure. A $75.00 fee may be charged for each 1/2 hour past the required checkout time, as we occasionally have guests leaving and arriving the same day, leaving the cleaning service a small amount of time to clean.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Guest shall provide a security deposit in the amount of $750 upon agreement of this contract.
Homeowners may use all or any portion of the security deposit reasonably necessary to (a) cure Guest’s default in payment of rent or other sums due; (b) repair damages caused by Guest or by a guest or licensee of Guest; (c) clean the premises in excess of normal clean, if necessary upon expiration of the term; or (d) replace personal property, excluding ordinary wear and tear. No later than three (3) weeks after the end of the term, Homeowners shall furnish Guest an itemized written statement of the basis for, and the amount of, any security received and the disposition of the security and shall return any remaining portion of the security to Guest. Should the cost of damages or repairs exceed $750, guest is still liable for costs above and beyond the deposit. In the event of a dispute concerning a security deposit, arguments are to be heard in the jurisdiction where the property exists. Upon check-out, the property will be inspected and the deposit will be returned if applicable.
CLEANING: The property will be inspected, sanitized and cleaned after your departure. The cleaning fee covers normal cleaning. Guest is REQUIRED to leave the property in the same general condition that you received it and follow check-out instructions which will be delivered with entry instructions. If additional cleaning is required, appropriate charges will be deducted from your security deposit at a rate of $40.00 per hour.
MAINTENANCE: Homeowner will diligently attempt to address maintenance issues as they occur. There is an associated risk of renting a single family residence. If a maintenance issue occurs that cannot be fixed in a reasonable amount of time, and significantly affects the Guest’s stay; Homeowner reserves the right to refund at their discretion.
ACCESS: Guest shall allow Homeowner and their workers access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.
VACATION RENTAL DISCLOSURE: Renting a single family home is a very different experience than that of a hotel. While it is Homeowner’s intention to provide a consistent family vacation, the nature of the product has its idiosyncrasies. Homeowner is not open 24 hours a day. Homeowner does maintain a 24/7 emergency line, but resources are limited outside of normal business hours. Unlike a hotel, there is no front desk, on site maintenance personnel, or on site cleaning crew. Guests should familiarize themselves with the general operation of the home, exercise sound judgment; and most importantly, read all posted information at the property in order to assure a quality experience for the guests.
WEATHER: The Homeowner does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do they accept liability for any inconveniences arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity, or plumbing. Nor will the Homeowner accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather, road conditions, natural disasters, or other reasons beyond their control. No refunds will be given for storms, road conditions, too much snow, or lack of snow. On a case by case basis, Homeowner may credit guests due to road closures lasting more than six consecutive hours.
USE: The Cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood with many full-time residents. Loud parties are not allowed. Guests shall not disturb, annoy, endanger, or interfere with neighbors, nor use the premises for any unlawful purposes, nor violate any law or ordinance, nor commit waste or nuisance upon or about the premises. If we receive a call from one of our neighbors or the police, all occupants may need to to vacate the property without any refund and may also result in forfeiture of Guest’s security deposit at the sole discretion of Homeowner.
Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
If Guest leaves any personal property on the premises, we will happily return the property. There will be a $20.00 handling fee in addition to the fee charged to pack and send the items, and will be deducted from your security deposit.
$50.00 per item fee will be charged for lost garage door opener.
Please read, and follow the check out directions prior to departure.
INSURANCE: We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance.
RENTAL RULES: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property.
1.Smoking is not allowed in or on the property.
2.Visitors other than the number specified by the Guest in the contract may not stay overnight in the property. All persons at the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Loud parties that disturb neighbors are not allowed.
3.Parking: There is no street parking allowed between Nov 1 and May 1. Parking is limited to vehicles that fit in the 1 car garage and the driveway. Generally, this is 5 cars. If parties have large SUVs, they will not all fit. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing and applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
4.Fireplace: Paper can not be put into the fireplace as it will clog up the chimney. The fireplace must be used in accordance with instructions that are provided at the house. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with its operation before you use it.
5.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
6.Only use appliances for their intended uses.
7.PETS are permitted only with prior approval and the Pet Addendum must be completed.
8.No daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels if you plan to go to the lake. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the home.
9.Hot Tub: No children under the age of 14 are permitted in hot tub without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Remember when not using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay warm.
10.Toilets and Plumbing: DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the pipes, you may be charged damages to repair clogged system.
11.Read and follow check-out instructions prior to departure. Failure to do so may result in loss of security deposit to cover costs.
Homeowner will allow guest to have only the previously agreed upon pets and no others in the vacation home upon and subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and this addendum.
Guest hereby agrees to comply the following:
1.Guest to pay additional pet fee in the amount of $25 per stay
2.Guests must comply with the following specifications (documentation from an accredited veterinarian must be provided by Guest upon request):
a.All pets are to be treated with a topical flea and tick repellent at least 3 days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets.
b.Must be up-to-date on rabies and other vaccinations.
c.Pets must be spayed or neutered.
3.Guest is responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse.
4.Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees. If you know you can not keep your pet off the furniture, please bring sheets with you to cover the furniture.
5.Pet must not cause damage to premises or furnishings. If damages are caused, the cost of the damage may be deducted from security deposit.
6.Guest should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors.
7.Pet may not be left unattended for a lengthy period of time, either indoors or out. Pet should not be left unattended on balcony, patio, or porch. If you leave the home, your pet should be crated, or left in the laundry room. Do not leave them free to roam the house.
8.Homeowner assumes no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises.
9.If pet marks or has an accident on any of the carpets, you must inform us at check out. We have special cleaning materials to eliminate odors and future marking.
We wanted to be able to share our Tahoe home with friends and family, which was one of the biggest reasons we chose this house. It's set up perfectly to host 3 families or several couples. Our home is very comfortable, cozy and warm. It has a large central great room for gathering and bedrooms that offer plenty of privacy for guests.
