The Old Bakery Garden Room is an existing stone building in the middle section of the garden to The Old Bakery B&B that has been completely renovated and extended to create an intimate and attractive cottage for two.
The development has kept the character of the original building whilst providing modern levels of insulation, comfort and facilities making it suitable for year round use.
Arranged in an L shape, the accommodation is open plan and comprises a bed room and sitting area in the original building with the kitchen/dining area and shower room in the extension.
The dining area faces south west and has a large full height window looking out onto a private patio and decked area which is for your sole use and is quite a sun trap.
The kitchen is well equipped with a two ring ceramic hob, combination microwave oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
There are two 2’ 6” single beds that can be zipped together to create a King sized double making the accommodation suitable for both singles and couples. There is room in the living area for a travel cot for a baby but the accommodation is not suitable for toddlers or children.
There is a settee in the living area, a TV with Freeview and "smart" DVD/Blue Ray player through which you can access iPlayer, etc. We have superfast broadband and WiFi is available at no extra cost.
Heating is provided by a fire effect electric heater. The full height window is also provide a source of warmth in the winter on sunny days.
There is a shed providing storage for bikes, surf boards and wetsuits with a tap for rinsing off.
The owners provide a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and home made cake.
The garden to The Old Bakery is in three distinct levels with The Garden Room in the middle level which is well screened from the rest of the garden by fencing, shrubs and trees to ensure privacy from guests in the main house.
The top level comprises a patio at the back of the main house and grass lawn. Guests in the main house may use this area, and only this area. During the school summer holidays we serve home-made cream teas to the public on the patio and you are of course very welcome to partake!
The bottom level is used solely by ourselves and we keep our chickens there. Please be aware that we need to pass through the middle section to access our part of the garden.
Lettings will normally be for a minimum of a week with Saturday as the changeover day but shorter lets (minimum 3 days) may be available during quieter periods. The Garden Room has its own access down the side of the main house. There are a number of steps so it may not suit people with impaired mobility.
The owners live in the main house and will normally greet all guests personally and be available throughout their stay to provide information and any help required (unless away).
Please also note we have a dog called Bobby who is very good natured and loves to watch the chickens! She is very friendly but if you have concerns about dogs, please contact us to discuss as we cannot guarantee you won't meet her.
Please note our normal change over day is a Saturday and we normally aim to rent out for a week at a time . However, we may consider minimum 3 day lets (based on the daily rate) and alternative change over days during quieter periods.
The owners provide a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and homemade cake.

The accommodation will sleep no more than two in the beds provided. A baby sleeping in a travel cot may be accommodated but not toddlers or older children accompanying two adults.
