Spacious 2 bedroom flat in a 17th C. waterfront building in Strasbourg's picturesque Petite France area. At short walking distance from train, bus and tram. Comfortably sleeps 2 couples or 1 couple and 2 singles. Lovely new kitchen and bathrooms.
The flat has been lovingly restored, making the most of the exposed beams and antique wood and wrought iron details. Most of the flat's windows face the water and the lock near Benjamin Zix square. With ceilings over 3-metres high, this home offers a sense of air and space which is unusual for a traditional Alsatian house.
There are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed (one can be split into a twin).
The beautiful new kitchen and bathrooms are modern and functional. The master bathroom includes tub and separate shower, whereas the second bathroom has just a shower. Each has a WC, and there is a third, separate WC off the entrance to the flat.
Guests will have the full run of the flat and may use anything in it. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Guests are kindly asked not to use more than one bath towel per person.
The flat is not convenient for wheelchairs. It is at raised ground level, 3 steps up from the street. The living room is split-level, one half of it a step higher than the other, and the kitchen is two steps up again.
Guests will find the beds in the bedrooms made up. There is no children's cot, but there is a high-chair.
Breakfast is not provided. An automatic Saeco espresso machine with integrated grinder is available, and takes coffee beans. A 4-cup classical espresso machine can also be used with ground coffee on the induction hob.
Absolutely no smoking is allowed in the flat.
In order to assist in the management of the bed linen, guests are kindly requested, either during their stay or on the day of their departure, to wash and air- or machine-dry a load of bed linen and/or towels.
Once you confirm your booking please be sure to send me your approximate arrival and departure times, as well as an email address where I can send you a guide to the flat (in English only).
I will be available by phone and email. Either a meet-and-greet service will be arranged or guests will be instructed where to pick up the keys in a nearby location.
I love to travel and I plan to do a lot of it this coming year. I'd like my lovely flat to help me and others do just that.
