Our warm and welcoming home awaits! We are less than a 10 minute walk from Ford engineering, a mile from the Henry Ford and less than 2 miles from downtown Dearborn. Whatever brings you to town, we want to welcome you into our home!
The room has a double bed with a pillow top mattress topper, plus we have a single air mattress which can be easily set up. We provide towels and will do our best to try and make your stay as easy as possible. The bathroom is shared with us, but we will work around your schedule to make sure you have access whenever you need it.
You will also have access to all of our common spaces, which include a large living room, dining room, full kitchen and spacious back yard with a charcoal grill.
We are happy to interact as much as you want! Sarah works from home, so she is generally around and will help you with whatever you need, be it directions, recommendation or anything else.
Sarah is originally from Boston, but sadly does not have the accent to prove it. She studied Mechanical Engineering at Brown and liked it so much she stayed for an extra year to get a masters in Entrepreneurship. She spent most of her time in school on the water as a member of the crew team. She worked as a design engineer at Cummins for 3 years after graduating, where she met Graham. She started her own company which she worked on for a year and then decided to go back into automotive engineering. She now works for AVL as a Project Engineer and is currently working at FCA. When she's not working, you will find Sarah is often cooking a new recipe or out for a run.
Graham is from York, PA, home of the peppermint patty and the band Live. He attended Rose Hulman, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and was a member of the FSAE team. His senior year, the team placed 15th overall and Graham drove in one of the events. He worked at Cummins for 2 years (where he met Sarah) as a development engineer. He currently works for Daimler's North American Truck branch, Detroit Diesel, and spends his free time under one of his Italian collector cars, rebuilding engines or updating his automotive blog, BlythBros.
We love to go on road trips, find new places and try new foods. We moved to Dearborn in June of 2014 and absolutely love it here. We enjoy exploring Michigan and trying new restaurants in the Detroit area. We love to host on AirBnb because we get to meet so many people from all over the country and the world. Please reach out to us if you have any questions!
