First of all, if you are in the planning stage of your visit to Greece, we highly recommend Milos over Santorini. Apart from Oia (Santorini's postcard town), Santorini pales quickly in comparison to Milos's superior beaches, culture, friendly locals, restaurants, and landscape. Our stay with Maria was great. The apartment is in the middle of two of the best places to eat and walk around in (Plaka and Adamas). Milos is pretty hard to explore without a car or scooter (the bus will only get you to a few of the nice beaches, and they run every 30 min - 2 hours, depending on the route). If you have a car, Maria's place is perfect because you won't have any trouble with parking and it's central to some of the best spots. If you are planning on using the bus, it's cheap and the bus stop is right around the corner. Maria is tremendously kind. She offered to pick us up from the port even though our ferry was 2 hours late (at 10 PM). The room was very clean and nice, just as the pictures portray. We were there at the beginning of August, so it got pretty warm at night, in case you are used to air conditioning. The shared bathroom is through the main living area, not attached to the room, if that is of any concern. Overall, the location is great, and Maria is great, and the price is a good deal for Milos. We would definitely stay with Maria again!
