Train Spot guesthouse is a place for travelers. Created in the former Marvão/Beirã train station, offers to all young hearted visitors the fun experience of living in an industrial era station, to discover the Natural Park where it is situated and the traditional "Raianos" culture of the Portuguese/Spanish border in Alto Alentejo.
With the capacity to host 16 people in the main building, Train Spot Guesthouse offers a wide range of accommodations which can fit different budgets and needs, ranging from rooms with shared bathroom, rooms with private bathroom to apartments.
Breakfast is served daily at the main building from a regional menu and can be enjoyed at the common spaces - kitchen, lounge, terrace, gardens or even while sitting on the train tracks.
Situated on a quiet Beirã village, Train Spot is only a few driving minutes away from the medieval castle of Marvão (the highest one in Portugal), Castelo de Vide, the Roman ruins of Ammaia, Sever river natural pools, and many other magical places in Marvão.
Throughout the year Train Spot organizes different cultural events at the station, open to the general public, from music concerts and local artist exhibitions to traditional gastronomic events. On request, the guesthouse can organize various activity packages for guests: horse riding along the Serra de São Mamede range, walks along the ancient Smugglers trail, or just having an Alentejo snack.
You can cook in the fully equipped kitchen guests, eat your meals in the lounge living room with fireplace, relax on the covered porch or in the outside garden.

The Train Spot is an old border station. From the guesthouse you can visit other places in Alentejo - Portugal but also in Extremadura -Spain.

Lina Paz and Eduardo Salvador are a couple with two children who changed their lifes from Lisbon to the interior in the Marvão region to create Train Spot Guesthouse.
Lina has its origins in Marvão and is a lover of the culture and the nature of the region. Graduated in Communication Sciences and Culture, exercising her professional activity in audiovisual, television and film. Recently invested in the hotel business and founded one of the first Guest Houses Lisbon that continues to grow.
Eduardo, also in love with Marvao and nature, has a professional background in design and photography. He worked as an art director in advertising companies and founded a communications company in Lisbon.
