Classic Lake Champlain Camp available on one of the most beautiful parts of Lake Champlain. Tucked in the trees with lake frontage, one has spectacular views of the Adirondacks and Palisades. The renovated camp has a one bedroom queen suite with an attached lakeside reading room with a daybed. Off the bedroom suite is a private deck. A full wall of windows fills the camp with light and lake views. The bathroom has a shower and clawfoot tub. The spacious deck offers spectacular views that is comfortable and private for eating and relaxing. You will be drawn down steps to the private waterfront to enjoy North Harbor with great swimming and boating opportunities.
If guests need additional space, a separate studio building is available for an additional fee. This space has a queen bed , and a loft with a futon queen.
The beautiful surrounding pastoral landscape provides many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors including biking, walking and fishing. The Basin Harbor Club, a full service resort, is 5 minute walk away. Attractions there include dining, golfing, tennis and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum.
Preferred minimum Stay 2 weeks at $2,800 ~ camp only. Inquire about monthly and seasonal rate options.
Access to a kayak and canoe and 2 mountain bikes.
Hosts will ensure that all your needs are met. They may be in the studio if not rented to the guest.
We have a kayak for use. Hammocks next to the water and a grill for cooking. Pets are discouraged.
Fires and Smoking not permitted. Pets not permitted without prior approval by the host.
Nancy is a recently retired middle school science teacher. She has also taught yoga for 30 years and is currently teaching classes and privates in Vergennes, Vermont. Her partner John is retired from working at the art museum at Middlebury College. He is an artist working with metal to create sculptures in addition to painting.
They are enjoying the new lifestyle of retirement and spending time traveling, doing outdoor sports, sailing and crafting interesting adventures.
