Ten minutes to the Silver Queen Gondola, four blocks to the Wheeler Opera House and a few minutes walk to dozens of fabulous restaurants make this charming victorian four bedroom house an ideal vacation hub for all your Aspen adventures.
Right in the heart of Aspen and much larger than it appears in the pictures. We are four blocks from the Wheeler Opera House (on our street) and a ten minute walk to the Gondola. That means the house is close to everything. There are over ten GOOD restaurants within six blocks. There is plenty of space for 8 people in 4 bedrooms on three floors and each one is unique. This beautiful Victorian home was originally built by a miner in 1888 and has been lovingly enlarged and restored to its original majesty. It also has two separate offices, free WiFi, printer/scan, copier and fax machine and a honky-tonk piano Out the back door is a beautiful stone patio with a gas BBQ, large hot tub and a view of Aspen mountain.close enough to watch the skiers come down the mountain. Cozy window seats and a real wood burning fireplace add warmth to an already welcoming home.
The only area off limits is the unlocked owner's closet with our bicycles, helmets and camping gear
We are always available by email and phone and happy to help out with logistics and local knowledge
The pantry and bar are stocked; just buy another bottle(s) of what you liked so its there for the next guests; you can use the food and condiments without replacing them.

The answering machine next to the roll top desk has a message saying we’re out of town. You can change it if you’d like. The answering machine in the downstairs office is for Leah’s business. Garbage: We recycle; there are two bins in the wash room; one is for cardboard and paper; the other is for plastic and glass bottles, aluminum and cans; when they are full you may dump them in the appropriate recycling containers in the alley behind the house. The garbage container under the kitchen counter sink can be emptied into the bear-proof dumpster in the alley next to the recycling bins. We share these facilities with our neighbor to the east and they are located in back of their property next door.
The dishwasher won’t work properly if dishes are piled too high and may overflow. Please make sure not to do this.
Restaurants we like:
Expensive: Pinons, Kinichi’s, Jimmy’s,
Moderate: Brunelleschi’s, Brexi, L’Hostaria
Inexpensive (for Aspen): Ollie’s, Annie’s and any of the many “Bar menus” available at various restaurants if you ask for them
Have a great time!
Leah and Dennis Seider
