I stayed 2 month's in Philippe's place. It is really central, behind the station in a lively area. The balcony to your room overlooks other apartments and there is the inevitable noise as a result of this (and some of the neighbours during my stay were quite noisy). However, the apartment is central, close to town and you can walk everywhere. You have all necessary amenities close-by. You are also close to a tram which goes South to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked, a bit untidy, but you have your own fridge as well as ample space to store your food in your own dining space below your bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The balcony is shared, attractive with lots of original art hanging on one side, and a nice place to sit (you traverse this terrace to get to your room/space). The bedroom is large with 2 single beds (you have to pay 10 euros a night for someone to stay), with a small balcony, which does not receive sun, perfect in summer months, but can be a bit chilly otherwise. There is a desk and ample space for storage. There is wifi, but it is not always very good in the room, and is disconnected at night (usually around midnight/1am) and turned on again in the morning around 10 or 11. Overall, Phillippe's place is great for an independent stay in a centrally located spot.
It was amazing to stay at this appartement! I stayed there for two months. It is very cute and cosy and the room is spacious. Especially the terras is amazing! At night you can turn on little coloured lights, which makes it the nicest place to sit. The location is perfect, because you can walk to Place de la Comedie (the central square) in about five minutes. Philippe was a very nice and welcoming host, he invited me to a few of his art soirées which was cool to see! The only thing you should keep in mind, I didn't know this when I arrived, the wifi is turned off at night so you only have wifi throughout the day. This wasn't really a problem for me, but it might be good to keep in mind! I definitely recommend staying here!
I spend two weeks at Philippe's appartement and immediately felt at home. The terrasse, with all the plants, shells and little bits and pieces, was my favourite spot. The appartement is located in a lively neighbourhood, only minutes from shops and restaurants. Should i ever return to Montpellier, Philippe's place would be my first choice.
