This is my home. You should treat it as such. This is not a hotel. I do not have a staff. It is not okay to leave my place a mess just because you paid. I don't ask my guests to follow any strict rules. I just ask that they pick up after themselves and be respectful of my property.
This is a first floor junior 1 bedroom apartment in a historic apartment building less than one block from Balboa Park. The building is secure and has a call box with code to enter.
The apartment is a 1 bedroom apartment with the bedroom not completely closed off to the living room. It feels spacious and is perfect for two people.
Bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed. A TV/DVD and desk area. Also, a dresser with empty drawers to use.
Living room has an LCD TV, DVD player, comfortable large sofa and two chairs. Also, a window a/c unit that will cool the whole apartment.
Kitchen is small, but has all the basic items. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking, this probably isn't the right place. Keurig with k-cups provided.
Bathroom has a deep claw-foot tub with shower. There is a walk-in closet attached to the bathroom with space to hang your things.
Basic local over the air HD TV channels and Wifi are provided.
You can stream shows and movies through my Amazon Fire to the TV in living room. The Amazon Fire has Amazon Prime Video, HuluPlus, Netflix, HBO Go, YouTube, and many other apps. I have an account to Amazon and HuluPlus you are welcome to use. You can use your account for any of them as well. The TV also has USB connection and HDMI for your streaming device if you choose.
There is a laundry room on the same floor as the apartment for $1.50/W $1.00/D. I have supplies if needed.
Only street parking is available. There are numerous spots without meters around the apartment, so you can park for free. Also, meters are free after 6pm and all day Sunday/Holidays. Parking might take a couple of loops around to find a spot, but I always find one within a few minutes and within a couple blocks. There is a pay lot one block away: $5 for 9hrs.
Check-in is any time after 3pm and check out is 12pm. I can be flexible, but please confirm with me first.
COMIC CON: May apartment is a 1.5 mile walk to the convention center. Less than a 5 min cab ride. It's just outside the craziness that will be downtown, but close enough to easily enjoy the festivities.
Rock 'n' Roll Marathon: Race Begins less than a half mile from my place. Finish line and expo are about 1.5 miles away.
-Apartment is less than 3 miles from the airport and usually less than a $15 cab ride.
-There is a bus stop directly outside of the building.
The location is called Bankers Hill and is perfect for seeing San Diego. One block to Balboa park and museums. Walk about 10 min through the park to get to San Diego Zoo. Downtown and the Gaslamp District are less than a mile away and a 15 min walk. Hillcrest (popular w/ LGBT community) is about the same distance in the opposite direction. Beaches and Sea World are within a 15 min drive. Several of San Diego's best restaurants are within a few blocks of the apartment including: Cucina Urbana, Bankers Hill Bar and Grill, Bertrands at Mr. A's, Bario Star, The Prado. Starbucks is also two blocks away.
