Our light and airy backyard "Treehouse" is used as a daylight photo studio when not occupied by friendly travelers! It is a new building, recently completed in Sept '14, located in the historic Fifeville neighborhood, one block off West Main St.
This house was built as daylight photo studio!
The main studio space on the second story has ten 8' high windows that are modeled after the windows at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. These windows are intended to let in as much light as possible into the space while staying relatively consistent with the historical character of the surrounding houses.
The entire square footage is 660 square feet, the first floor having 10' ceilings with open rafters, and the second story having open rafters up to the roof, 14' high at the highest point. The bathroom, kitchenette, dining table and chairs are on the first level, and the upstairs photo studio area has a queen bed.
As a real, working photo studio, the furniture arrangement is constantly changing! If you are concerned with the location of the furniture please contact me in advance or before booking to confirm the arrangement during your stay.
You will have access to our wireless internet, sourced from the main house. It works great 90% of the time. However, despite our best efforts with the DSL company, it can be unreliable at times. Please take note of this, especially if having regular, solid access to internet is important for you.
We will be available to welcome you in and answer questions!
We would be glad to have you as early as 3pm the first day of your reservation, and have you check out as late as 11am on your day of departure.
Please place the used sheets and towels at the door on your way out the door. Small get togethers of 6 or less people are fine, but no parties or noisy nights: the neighborhood is relatively quiet at night for such an urban location, and we'd like to keep it that way.
