Regina's apartment is like a spread out of Dwell magazine. If you understand the reference, you will book a stay here right away! To find such a uniquely lovely home in the bustle of the city--and one that has a private room and bathroom available-is very unusual. The neighborhood is absolutely terrific: at the jumping off point of the Hudson River and Chelsea Piers, where you can run and work out for miles; sandwiched among cobblestone streets with centuries-old houses standing alongside glass-encased, million-dollar modern structures; and blocks away from the Highline Park, Apple store, and haute couture fashion boutiques.... It's a real find. Further, Regina is a smart and welcoming hostess with great taste. Highly recommended!

Great location and host! We had a great 5 night stay in the West Village - close to everything and near some great cafes/bars etc. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. R was a great host and very helpful from start to finish. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in New York!

If what you are looking for is a place to sleep and stretch you legs in between, this room served its purpose perfectly. Good location (perfect also if you want to walk or un by the Hudson River), clean, convenient and a nice, helpful and easy to deal with-host.

In Soho with Regina we had a perfect stay at an excellent location with private beth and bathroom including a bath. The location is perfect close to the Hudson, Bleeckerstreet and the subway. We felled very welcome at here house, and had enough privacy. If you had any questions about your stay Regina is very happy to help you.

just got back from a weeks stay at reginas. upon first contacting her she responded immediately and was very accommodating about leaving bags before check in and check out times, that's a big thing it was my first airb&b experience but i felt secure booking with regina. the room is as pictured ... initially i was a bit sceptical about the bed, thinking it was a bit firm and not too comfortable. but, i slept well the whole time with no back ache ... and i have big problems with both my back and beds in general. the private bathroom has great pressure in the shower. regina is very quiet, which i picked up on from the airb&b page, so am i ... this is a place for quiet people. the location is perfect, on a quiet side street in the village just a few blocks from two different subway stations that will take you just about anywhere in manhattan and beyond. it's only a block away from christopher street, the gay area and there are lots of great restaurants in the area. i love burgers ... if you do, check out the spotted pig and the corner bistro, two of the best burgers i've ever had. i recommend regina and her place!

Wish I never had to leave Regina's place, She is an incredible host, very helpful and with a great understanding of travellers needs. The place is in an ideal location, and all about it is welcoming. Just perfect for resting, a soothing oasis in the middle of the city that never sleep. I'll most definitely plan to visit her again soon.

Everything about my stay at R's place was simply perfect and I enjoyed it immensely. Firstly, R. immediately replied to my request and ever since communication was great - she immediately answered all my questions, adjusted details of my booking, even kindly checked me in earlier than we agreed before, was always ready to provide a helpful advice but very respectful of my privacy. The apartment itself looked exactly as shown on photos - it is very cozy but at the same time feels like a hotel in a good way - lots of free space, absolutely not cluttered, very clean and well thought-through for a guest, be it a leisure or business trip. And you get a bathroom all to yourself! Last but not least, the location could not be better - the street itself is quiet and feels safe for a lonely female traveller but overall area is posh and vibrant with lots of dining (from great diners to lobsters and healthy/vegetarian- friendly cafes) and shopping options, in walking distance to numerous attractions and close to many subway stations. I would highly recommend this host and would definitely happily stay there again on my next visit to New York.

Hi there. I'm a writer and analyst, and a born and bred New Yorker. I've owned this house for several years, and friends and guests always remark upon how unique it is. More importantly, most people go bananas over the location. It is on one of the most lovely and quiet blocks in the West Village. So if you're looking for a stay that mimics what it feels like to live as a downtown New Yorker, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better alternative.

I have a small elderly dog who will be curious about you but will otherwise leave you alone. He's extremely adorable and even has a fanblog in his home country of Japan. He's non-allergenic and scrupulously clean. He looks like a small fox.

As a writer, I tend to spend my working day quietly writing. I am also a competitive athlete (fencer) and work with Olympic and professional athletes in helping them train. They come to my townhouse for consultations, so you may find yourself rubbing up a shoulder against an Olympian. The training is conducted in the downstairs portion of the townhouse, so it does not interrupt your area of the house. I keep pretty exclusively to myself when I am home because I am usually working, writing or preparing/researching to write, so you don't have to feel an obligation to chat. But of course, you are most welcome to ask questions! Also, I provide a little cheat sheet to the neighborhood.

I am a seasoned traveler and have spent most of my life living and working all over the world. I speak English, Portuguese, French and some Dutch. I've lived the business traveler's way of life, so I know how important a clean but home-like atmosphere can contribute to the stresses of being on the road.

I look forward to hosting you.
