I'm torn about how to rate this apartment. It has the potential to be an excellent rental but needs a bit more loving care. The meeting experience was good, no issues there. The location is excellent and I loved the bright, elegant main floor entrance. Having the windows open on to the airy courtyard was great - fresh air with none of the Paris traffic noise that I'm used to.
The apartment itself is as described - almost. It was clean and a good size for one person/five nights. Renovations were underway, but I wasn't disrupted - although elevator did not work which could have been an issue for someone counting on it. The microwave oven didn't work and there was no effort to repair/replace it. No dish towels and the filthiest, oldest sponge I've ever seen. I was disappointed that the Nespresso machine in the photos was not present - it's one of my criteria in picking an apartment.
Finally ... the owner has got to do something to soundproof the bedroom wall, which was so thin that I could hear a pin drop in the neighbour's bedroom. And the poor woman sleeping there had a horrible case of bronchitis and ended up keeping me awake for two nights with her deep coughing attacks. Very uncomfortable from both a privacy and sleep perspective.
