WANT TO BRING YOUR PET?
PLEASE READ THIS COMPLETELY PRIOR TO BOOKING!
Please inquire prior to booking to discuss and let us know you have read through the Pet Info & Rules and agree to them.
Please do not instant book if you are wanting to bring your pet as we accept pets on a individual basis.
We love our own pets & appreciate those who make theirs a part of their family. We welcome responsible pet owners and their loved pets.
As volunteers in dog rescue, we would love to see more Airbnb hosts accept pets because we travel with our pets too! We know it takes all of us pet people being responsible for that to happen. If bad stories circulate with hosts, some may not consider accepting pets or discontinue their practice of allowing them. Everyone is concerned about damage and liability of course.
Creating a positive pet experience is how we can all change that!
Pet fee is $35 per pet. This is 100% donated to our rescue efforts.
Tell us a little about your pet including age, breed, weight so we know how big the treats need to be to welcome them with!
Pets must have COLLAR with ID & current RABIES TAG. FYI- Proof of current Rabies vaccination may be required when crossing state lines.
About that ID-
ID on your pet is so important! A collar with an ID is always important but especially critical when traveling with your pet. We hope it never happens but if your pet is lost during your stay, they are not familiar with their surroundings. The ID tag may be the only thing that can bring your furry friend home to you. Please notify us immediately if your pet is lost and we will help any way we can! We know the feeling of looking for a lost pet.
Pets are not allowed in beds or on furniture.
Local ordinance require pets to be leashed when at the lake.
We do have a fenced in back yard where your pet can run freely.
DOO-DOO DUTY! Yup! Yup! Pick up after your pup!
Please pick up after your pet. Pet waste can spread disease to other pets, children and even adults. It can also get into water runoff & supplies and that's just poopy!
WHERE'D THEY GO? WHERE'D THEY GO? Pets left alone can get bored and in trouble. Please do not to leave your pet unattended in the house or yard. If pets become a nuisance, we may have to ask you to board your pet in another location with no refund of pet fees. Any local fines related to local pet ordinances or nuisance laws such as running at large, noise, not picking up after pet, damage, etc are full responsibility of the pet parent.
It probably goes with out saying but we have to say it anyway...
PLEASE do not bring pets with destructive or negative behaviors: chewing, barking, digging, scratching, aggression, or known escape artists.
Counter surfing dogs are not banned because they make us laugh and make for great stories... unless, of course it is your own dinner that just got swiped off the counter... then it's not so funny...
NO FLEAS PLEASE! If fleas are found, EACH flea will be charged as a guest at the rate of $75 per flea per night. Seriously, don't bring fleas, ticks or any other fur submariners into our place please! You will need to do a tick check on your pet if they are outside at our place. Applying flea and tick prevention is suggested prior to your visit. It's nature!
Following the rules allows us to offer pet stays to others. Please be respectful of our rules. If the unfortunate happens, we count on you to be honest and report any damage done by your pet prior to departure. Please call us and let us know what happened. We can then work out a reasonable damage fee if need be or accept an offer to replace the damaged item. Unreported or hidden damage will be deducted from the security deposit. Honest versus dishonest disclosure warrants an entirely different attitude on the amount. Just sayin!
If you made it through all these rules with a calm, "I completely understand" attitude, you're probably a responsible pet person!
If you're still in for bringing your fur baby along, mention the info in your inquiry along with your pet's info. Let us know you have read through all these rules and agree to them. Just say "Yup- I've read through your list that is longer than a dozen dachshunds tail to tail and agree to it all."
All said, we hope you bring your beloved pet as we love meeting fur friends as much as people! After all, they are part of the fun! Tailwags!
Hi! I'm Rhonda! Thanks for checking out our Airbnb space! My husband and I have created this space with the hope it feels like "Your Home Away From Home" Our goal is to create a clean, inviting & comfortable place! My heart smiles when a guest tells us that our place provided a relaxing reprieve to gather with family, friends or their work group during their visit to our area! We sincerely hope you feel that way if you choose our place!
Randy and I have been married 33 years, love to travel, play tennis and volunteer in animal rescue by fostering dogs.
Our best vacation to date would have to be a 10 day trip to Belize where we camped in the jungle, went scuba diving, canoed in underground caves and climbed temples in Tikal. Back then, there was no Airbnb but I bet you could find one now! We love Airbnb for all the adventure it can bring and for the kind and lovely guests it has brought our way.
