The neighbourhood is small and very friendly. We are close to all amenities and live right beside the Grand Canal. We are a 7 minute walk from St James Hospital for those of you who maybe coming for study reasons. It takes 45 mins to walk to the city centre along the Grand Canal, there is also a Dublin City Bike Park 5 mins away so you could hire a bike and cycle around the city. Our apartment is situated on the Red Luas line which will take you to the HQ of the famous search engine and that will take you 25 minutes and only 20 minutes to O'Connell Street.
Taxi's are around 25euro from the airport to our house, but make sure the taxi goes through the city. There is also an aircoach to O'Connell street and from there you can take the Luas(Tram). Or the Airport Express to Heuston Train Station and the Luas line is also there. You take the Luas heading towards Tallaght or Saggart and you get off at Rialto. It is a 5 minute walk to our home. There is visitor parking out the front of our building which is free of charge. We have a bus stop right outside our door which goes to the city centre. When you are taking a bus to our home, you take the No. 122 bus going to 'Drimnagh', pronounced Drimna. And you get off at Herberton Road. Ask the driver to tell you when that is.
We have a Yorkshire Terrier dog who is very friendly. He never goes in to the double room and he is kept in the living space with my daughter and I. There is a private lobby area into my apartment so when you get out of the lift on the 2nd floor, number 2 in the lift. Immediately turn right and you'll see the door to my lobby.
We look forward to welcoming you in to our home and hope that you have an enjoyable stay.
The room is very self contained with its own bathroom a table and chair and wifi. Not everyone chooses to have breakfast with us but you are more than welcome too. Just let me know when you arrive.
As a host I am very open, warm and friendly. I look forward to meeting guests but I also like to give guests their space and freedom to come and go as they please.
When you arrive at my apartment complex and have entered in through the pedestrian gate, you must take the path to the left to get to my building, not the door straight ahead.
There is plenty to do in Dublin and my apartment is perfectly situated to be near to the heart of Dublin's city! It is a 35 minute walk from the heart of the city, but a 15 minute bus journey. A 10 minute bus journey will take you to the heart of the restaurant scene in Dublin on Camden and Wexford Street. The Luas will take you to over to the North side of city and on your way you can visit the Guinness Store house and then visit O'Connell Street and Phoenix Park where the Deer roam free!
There is strictly no smoking in our building and in our apartment. Our home is suitable for children 6 years old and up but I have a lot of small ornaments so it wouldn't be suitable for children younger than 6.
I'm a lover of music, design, movies and theatre. I'm always learning, I love to meet new people and discover new music. The five things I can't live without are my daughter, music, movies, books and close friends. I love long walks with beautiful scenery and good company. I would love to learn to play the piano and the guitar someday. I love travelling and I still have so many places to visit. I've been to Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany, France, Holland, Norway, Austria and the US of A. I would love to visit South America, Africa, Asia and more of Europe. As a host my home is warm and inviting and easy going. My life motto is live and let live and treat others how you would like to be treated.
