This flat is perfect if you want somewhere near to all the action, simple and with the option of cooking for yourselves occasionally. 5 minute walk from Rothschild and allenby street and about 20 minutes walk to a couple of beaches as well as about 15 minutes from Carmel market. Lots of cool cafes and bars nearby as well, including the Teder which is just around the corner. The flat felt extremely secure and very homely, with great amenities although there were only two of most items (mugs, forks etc) so bare that in mind if there are more of you. Yariv and Ron were great at communicating and left clear instructions of how to get in to the flat on the first day. It was also incredibly clean and felt very well looked after. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
The reviews are pretty accurate. Yariv made the whole process of check-in/out streamlined and simple. The location good. The street and building is run down, but is not indicative of a bad area. There was a secure iron gate with a key code, that was locked initially, but thereafter didn't lock, so it was open for anyone to come in. Similarly, the door to the building was open and the corridor unlit to the apartment door. Not the most secure. The studio itself is value for money and the beds are comfortable, but the sliding door on the toilet/shower kept sticking. Would be useful to have some shower gel and toilet bleach/freshener to hand as the drains and toilet did smell.
Yariv's apartment feels safe, is perfectly located and has all of the essentials. It's very cozy (one room with a very small bathroom). There are a lot of steps to climb so keep that in mind if you have big bags. Check in and check out were seamless. The only thing that wasn't as planned was there was a TV included in the pictures and description but there wasn't one in the apartment. We aren't big television watchers so it didn't bother us but is just something worth noting. We had a very pleasant stay and grateful for Yariv's hospitality!
Okay - first thing, Yariv was a great and responsive host! Second thing - if you're like me and my girlfriend and are looking to explore Tel Aviv, you will find this apartment is actually located in a really great spot! It takes a bit of time to get your bearings and you will see a ton of random boutique clothing stores in the immediate area, but if you wander out to Rothschild and take it north, or King George (seems to be more up and coming) and take it north, you will find great stuff. Also, Yariv's place is like 5 minutes from Benedict, which is an amazing breakfast/24 hour place to eat!
Everything was overall fine, but the water from the water tap was so stinky. It was even hard to brush our teeth. Besides that we hat not enough towels for one week. And there was a builiding lot so we couldnt sleep so well. Also, we didnt know that the bathroom was like extemporaneous. If one us is going to toilet the other person could hear every noise from the bathroom. So we really did not have any privacy in the bathroom. It was not so dramatically because we know each other for a really long time but for some other guests it could be a problem. But all in all I appreciate the communication before the check in and during our time in Tel aviv. The location area is really hip and a lot of bars are across the corner. The beach is 20 minutes far away. You can take the bus which is really cheap. The app moovit is really good for orientation in Tel Aviv.
My name is Yariv. I am married with 2 kids. I love Tel Aviv , the city's spirit and pace.
It will be a pleasure to welcome you and introduce you to Tel Aviv with it's beaches, bars, cafes and young spirit.
