Welcome to Auckland!
This grand villa in the heart of Freeman Bay was once the old rectory. It still has presence and sits proud above street level. It's full of New Zealand art since this is one of my passions.
Two large bedrooms are available. The downstairs bedroom is 5m x 3.8m wide (or 15' x 12') has a luxury fold-out bed , a single bed and shared bathroom. It opens out on to a private patio also with views to Skytower and the city.
The upstairs one is 6.5m x 3m wide (or 18' x 9') and has its own ensuite with shower, toilet and bidet. It has one double bed and one single bed. The room also has two balconies and views towards the city.
Plus there's a small pool and a large living/kitchen area. Wifi is available.
I enjoy having people on electives and sabbaticals. Talk to me about long-term stays and rates.
Parking can be tricky because this is popular area but you can always park across the driveway.
The location is brilliant. Few houses would be so close to town and Ponsonby. We're 5 minutes walk from boutique Ponsonby Road (if that) and 15 minutes from the city. There's also a bus-stop round the corner.
Also since I'm a travel writer and traveller myself, I know what people on the move are after.
Look forward to meeting you!

I am a journalist and travel writer who lives in central Auckland with my son, Thomas. Thomas is an assistant diversional therapist working with people with dementia. I love books, art, music, my friends and for a travel writer, I'm terribly fond of home.
