Bright, cosy room trendy Ossington

This is a private room in a shared home in the trendy Ossington/Little Italy area of Toronto, one of the most interesting and diverse neighbourhoods in the world! The room has a comfortable double bed. You will share a large 4 piece bathroom. There is lots of storage in this room in the form of a dresser and a night table/cabinet, but there is no desk in the room!

I live in a large, Century home in one of Toronto's most vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods, Little Italy. We are steps from the trendy Ossington Avenue, with easy access to streetcars and the subway. We have 3 indoor cats so you should at least tolerate cats! We live in a beautiful older home that is centrally located. It can be dusty despite my best efforts, but the bathrooms are clean and modern, we have lightening fast internet, and the location cannot be beat.

Guests will have access to the common living area as well as to the kitchen where you are welcome to use the microwave for reheating, a Verissmo espresso machine and free coffee pods, and a dishwasher. Simple breakfast foods are provided. We also have a large back garden with deck for outdoor eating and sitting space. There are 2 shared bathrooms in the house: one is very large and features a beautiful claw foot tub as well as a modern marble-tiled shower. The second bathroom is a small powder room on the main floor.

We are long time Toronto residents and happy to share tips and knowledge about the city, but only as much as our guests would like.

The house is old and full of character, and we love it! I would describe our decorating style as "eclectic" with lots of antiques, an old piano, hardwood floors throughout, and exposed brick. It is a beautiful older home and the location cannot be beat!

A few things to note about this house! There are 6 bedrooms: 1 in the basement is a kind of spare room/rec room where my grown children sometimes stay when they are visiting Toronto, 3 on the second floor, and two on the third floor of the house.

That means that 4 bedrooms are usually occupied by air bnb guests, usually short term stays. This means there can be from 5 - 6 people in the house at any given time. I find the house to be very spacious and generally quiet, but If you are looking for something very private or very quiet, this is probably not for you!

To note about this room: it is on the second floor, right beside the washroom. It can therefore be noisy when people take a shower in the morning. For this reason the price on this room is discounted compared to the other three rooms in the house, and I would stress again that the primary value of my home is not that it is anything like a hotel: you are paying for the incredible convenience and value of this location. However, unlike the other two rooms, this room looks out over the back garden and gets tons of morning light!

There is no smoking in the house! We do get the house professionally cleaned, but we would ask that guests clean up after themselves in the common areas :)

需爬楼梯 - second floor room
可能会有噪音 - This room is beside the main bathroom; you will hear the shower.
房源里养有宠物 - 3 cats
房源里不能停车 - street parking permits can be purchased from the City of Toronto for very little money
需公用某些区域 - Both bathrooms are shared

I stayed one night at Christine's house. Christine is very kind and lovely person. The room was clean and tidy, and even soap and shampoo were provided! I really felt like home and definitely recommend you to stay there!

Christine was awesome and so accommodating! Her place is great and in a perfect location! She has great suggestions for where to eat in the area and for what to do! If I ever make it back to Toronto I would definitely stay here again!

Christine's place is a great value. I am not a cat lover but I had no problems. If you are really averse to cats you might not like it but otherwise, it's just about perfect.

Christine and the cats and her daughter and her sister -- They were all wonderful! I would highly recommend staying here.

I just moved from the US to Canada and will stay here for years. I lived in Christine's place for a month as my first station in Toronto. I would suggest everyone this perfect place. Christine is very hospitable. She taught me a lot of things about how to survive in Toronto as well as in Canada. When I just arrived and had no I idea where I was on the earth, she kindly drew me a map about everything around her place: restaurant, cafe, grocery store, shopping mall, etc. The neighborhood is quite nice. Little Italy is one of the most fantastic district in Toronto. There are pizza, coffee, and Italian dessert everywhere. The traffic is very convenient. Multiple subways, buses, and light rails are around. For going to UofT region, walking is also a good choice in summer. The room is not large but quite cute and warm. It is beside the bathroom so it's just convenient. Toast, cereal, milk, and coffee are prepared in the kitchen and everyone is always welcome to help himself/herself. No problem with using washer. I enjoyed the month I stayed with Christine and her families. I very like our talks about Canadian society and history. I love the cafe and pizza around the street corners. There are also three lovely cats that I miss the most. Actually I somehow start to regret moving out.

The room is as described, the location is great and Christine is a great host. Fantastic value.

I stayed there 3 weeks and really enjoyed the place. The location couldn't be better and it's a very good value for money. Christine is really nice and welcoming.

We live in a beautiful century home in downtown Toronto, when we aren't traveling whenever we can! Our favourite destinations recently have been NYC, The UK, Ireland, Venice, and France. I work in New Media and teach part time at Centennial College here in Toronto.
