The hostel was great, very chill vibes and very kind and helpful staff. They are very responsive to messages which is great when you are booking last-minute and under a little pressure. Technically I only stayed one night in the private room during New Year's Eve weekend so I can't speak on the noise levels or anything but I was allowed to check in early when my flight arrived so that was super helpful. Also, I thought I missed my flight out of Belgrade but it turns out it was cancelled due to fog in Dubai... They were kind enough to talk me off the ledge after an unfortunately chaotic and sadly not-so- relaxed trip. I have stayed in hotels and Airbnbs for the same rate per night that were either whole apartments or fully serviced rooms with newer furnishings, etc but I guess because of the weekend (Dec. 30) it was prices were high. All in all I would definitely stay again because when traveling solo it's nice to meet people and be able to chill and chat as opposed to staying in a hotel or private apartment. And the staff is great. Thanks for a nice experience :)
overall, a good experience. the hostel is very central, about a 30-second walk to the main pedestrian street, and less than a 10-minute walk from the bus station. I was a little lost getting there, so just know that the first street mentioned in the directions is to the left if you're standing at the bus station looking at the main street. the hostel is clean and airy, with good a/c and sunlight. amenities are basic but good--hot plate, microwave, common room, good Wifi, laundry (at €5/wash with air dry, kinda steep...I pay less in NYC! also note, they only do laundry after midnight), and towel. the shower near my room has no door, so be careful when you step out! the bed is a single, but the room is spacious, with a desk. the only criticism I have is that the walls are VERY thin, and I could hear everything happening in the common room at all times...including late-night jam sessions and 6am post-party revelry. If that's your thing, you're in the right place. if you want a good night's sleep....bring earplugs. still, though, a great value for the location.
