This wonderful, main floor, single story condo - circa 1949 - is the perfect spot for stays of 31 days or more. It's secluded, yet in the midst of all kinds of happening Portland stuff. It includes a king size bed, renovated kitchen and parking spot too! There are more reviews at that other popular vacation rental site.
My condo is located in a classic 1949 apartment complex that was renovated and turned into condos in 2006. The space is very pleasing with oak and tile floors and new big windows with blinds. It's only one story, with no one above or below - and no stairs to go up or down. It's tucked away at the back of the condo complex, not bordering any roads. Instead of being stuck in somebody's basement, second floor, or backyard (or attic!) you have your own quiet space to be totally independent.
Renters will have access to the whole condo, plus the private storage area where the washer and dryer are. A gated parking area with a designated parking space is right outside the door. There is a small spot to sit outside.
You probably won't see me but I'm a good communicator via email or text. I'll be managing the condo remotely from Vermont. Meg, a condo neighbor, helps me out. The back door has a number pad, so there are no keys to bother with and you can check in when you want.
This condo is my home when I'm in town visiting my son and his family. Most of the reviews for me are associated with my airbnb listing in Vermont. Note that the Portland 11.5% lodging tax is not applicable for rentals of 31 days or more. Since I stay here also, I've outfitted the place with everything I could think of. (and I'm picky...) If there is anything else you need, just let me know and I'll have Amazon Prime deliver it to your door within 2 days.
No smoking inside or out. Please treat the space with respect and try to leave it as you found it. Remember that there are neighbors near by and be nice and quiet after 8 pm.
My husband and I are both 61. He works at the local bank and I work part-time for a local classified paper, and sew slip-covers. We've lived in Vermont for almost 40 years and love it here. I like to take walks with my dog Raney, swim, garden, read, sew and do house projects. My husband is a fan of fishing, kayaking, tennis, golf, gardening and community work. We now have our own little condo in Portland, Oregon where our only son lives with his wife and their new baby. It is available for stays of 30 days or more.
