Enjoy a tree-top aerie in Mt. Airy on the third floor of an 1880s mansion made of glistening blocks of Wissahickon schist.
I occupy the third floor of the house. The space I am offering on Airbnb is a small guest room.
Guests will have exclusive use of a large bathroom and shared use of the living room and dining area. Light use of the kitchen is okay, too.
I'm a self-employed writer working out of a home office. I'm around much of the time during the day, but am often out and about in the evenings. I make a pot of coffee in the morning. Guests are welcome to help themselves to coffee in the morning. If you prefer tea, there is a selection of teas on the kitchen counter and a kettle on the stove. Please make yourself a cup of tea in the morning, if that is your preference.
It's a quiet, easy-going house. The owner, a nicely eccentric older gentleman who has owned the house for 35 years, lives on the second floor. He'll tell you everything you'd care to know about the house and neighborhood, if you're interested. I have the entire 2,000+ square-foot third floor, with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and kitchen-living room-dining room area, to myself.
