We loved staying in Margaux's cute little flat! It's super central, walking distance to lots of stuff and very close to the metro. The bedroom faces an enclosed courtyard so that was great for street noise reduction. Margaux was a fantastic communicator, thank you for letting is stay! Our time in Paris was so lovely :)
This is such a great flat to stay in if you want to be near to the sites but have the feel of real French life. The flat is so perfectly located with the tube across the road as well as a butchers, bakers, fish shop, cheese shop, supermarket and wine shop all on the same road. There is also a daytime market with quality good and food at the weekend. It is walking distance from notredam the pantheon and the Latin district. The flat is beautifully decorated and it's clear that Margaux likes her interior design. Everything in the flat is high quality and stylish. The bed is so comfertable and the window in the bedroom has a total black out blind if you want to get a good nights sleep. The shower is good and with a toilet in a separate room is very convinient. Towels are provided as well as hand soap and lotion. The kitchen has a smeg fridge and everything you could need for eating in if you wish. The little tiny balcony is super cute and perfect for little lunches or evening drinks whilst people watching from the 2nd floor. The TV is huge and with and orange digital box you can get cosy for a night in on the sofa if you need a rest from exploring the beautiful city.
Pros - great location and easy walking distance to everywhere, really cute apartment with all your needs such as a washing machine, clean fridge, dishes/cooking materials etc. Very cool and quaint interior decor which makes for a lovely place to stay in Paris. Heaps of vendors below; supermarket (1 minute), bread, pharmacy, market occasionally nearby, metro etc. Cons - we came in early July when temps were 20-25 and it was stifling hot to sleep, not usually a problem sleeper but some nights unbearable as there is no cooking but if you choose to have all windows open then there's so much noise. Occasionally moved out to living room just for a cooler space. The shower is a bit on the fritz. No toilet paper provided so that got interesting on the first day!
Margaux's apartment is great! The location can't be beat - steps from a Metro stop as well as 2 separate Velib stations within 2 blocks of the apartment. We stayed for 3 weeks at Margaux's second floor apartment and found our time there to be lovely. The apartment is clean, well equipped and has a full size kitchen (which was real plus for our visit). One of the delights of the apartment is the farmer's market at Place Monge that is held 3 times weekly. Directly on Rue Monge are many shops and services including 3 bakeries within 1 block of the flat. Margaux was quick to answer all questions and readily available via email. Communication was never an issue. Overall, we were quite pleased to have stayed at this comfortable apartment. Truth be told... we were a little sad to leave!
We stayed at Margaux's apartment for 6 nights. The flat is very nice and cosy with a real kitchen (not very common for a flat in Paris), a nice living room and a spacious bedroom. It is very well equipped and even has a small balcony! The apartment is very well located on a lively street with many small businesses around such as bakeries, supermarkets, small shops and restaurants. We did not have the chance to meet Margaux but she was very clear, responsive and eager to help with anything. I highly recommend this flat for anyone/any couple wishing to stay in the 6th arrondissement, in a charming yet practical flat and neighborhood!
