Gasthof Rose is located near the austrian-italian border, half between bavaria and southern tyrol and italy.
We are visited by travellers for stopovers between Neuschwanstein Castles / Schwangau / Füssen or Munich in Germany and Lake Garda, Verona, Venice, Tuscany or Cinque Terre in Italy. Also the dolomite mountains are only a 100km from us.
We are also on the road between Salzburg and the Grossglockner, Austrias highest mountain.
The Stubai Glacier cable cars (alt. 3000m+) are just a 45 minute ride away. See the everlasting ice even in summer!
Beautiful nature can be enjoyed in the surrounding valleys (Obernberg, Gschnitz, Navis, Vals, Schmirn)
Our restaurant serves typical tyrolean and international dishes from 5PM to 8PM.
Breakfast time is from 7AM to 9AM.
We serve an extended continental Breakfast including coffee, tea or hot chocolate, rolls, whole meal bread, butter, jam, Nutella spread, Cheese spread, ham, cheese, cereals with yoghurt and milk, fruit, orange juice, and eggs, freshly pepared as you wish.
We have a garden, where you can have a break from your travelling.
Your children can play with the toys provided.
Check in time is from 4PM to 8PM
Check out until 9.30AM.
Later or earlier arrivals are possible by forehand arrangement. We can give out codes for the door lock to allow you anytime arrivals.
Guests who have special needs should advise the host prior to booking, please.
Our village is located close to the austrian-italian border called Brennerpass (name of the village: Gries am Brenner), approx. 30km south of Innsbruck (a 20 min. drive on the A13 and the B182).
The house stands 300m north of the Church, 50m from a car repair and gas station ("GT/AVIA")
Arriving from MUC Munich airport:
If you take the road via Füssen, you might need 3.5 hours. If you drive via Kufstein you need 2.5 hours (more Autobahn).
They collect Toll for the austrian autobahn A12 (paid by a sticker called "Vignette" 9 EUR for 10 days) and a seperate toll for the A13 (this single trip ticket costs also 9 EUR) .
Alternative: The B171 to Innsbruck and the B182 from Innsbruck to Brennerpass are tollfree.
We are here always until 8PM.
If you would arrive later you can get a code for the main entrance to unlock the door the whole night.
We send out this code by SMS to your mobile phone, if requested before (best by phone in the evening of your arrival).
We are smoke-free.
Smoking is forbidden in the restaurant and the hotelrooms. You may smoke at the balcony.
And we are visited mostly by families and other easy going people.
