Not your typical tiny NY apartment. Bright, sunny, uplifting space in a safe neighbourhood.
2-3 min walk from subway, 20 min subway ride to Manhattan, 15 min cab, block away from everything.
There are three things I love about my apartment - the space, the neighbourhood and the proximity to the city.
One bedroom apartment with lots of color and all the amenities you're used to at home. There is a dining table for two, a dishwasher, a comfy couch and a window seat perfect for pensive moments or people watching. No pets, no noisy neighbors, no leaky/broken/rusty/old/gross things.
Sunnyside/Woodside is full of culture, families, great restaurants and everything you need is within two blocks walking distance - drug store, coffee shop, laundromat, nail salon, supermarket, sushi spot - you know, the necessities.
Take a walk down the tree-lined streets and venture over to Astoria or Long Island City for fun bars, movie theatres and museums. Hop on a train north for Indian food in Jackson Heights, Korean food in Flushing or homemade ice cream in Forest Hills.
The apartment is close enough to the city that you won't miss out on the action. You can see the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building right outside.
It's about 20 minutes on the train to Times Square and a 15 minute (often less than $20) cab ride.
The apartment is also far away enough from the city that it's not too loud and rowdy and has a great neighbourhood feel. It's safe, quiet and a great getaway.
Plus, Laguardia Airport is a quick 15 minute cab ride or 30 min train ride away. You can often see the planes going in from the street.

The full apartment including the shoe shelf and excluding a few closets.
Any time! Email is quickest but a call or a text work too. I'm constantly connected.
We have cable, wi-fi, air conditioners, dishwasher, microwave, hair dryer, iron, and all that good stuff.
We will also provide linen, towels, soap, shampoo etc.
It will feel like home away from home.
No smoking in the apartment or building.
Be human, be mature and be considerate please.
Treat my home the way you hope someone would treat yours.
Don't disturb the neighbors - no parties or funny business or stomping around.
The big thing to note - shoes are not allowed in the apartment. There is a shoe shelf to leave them at as soon as you get in and socks to switch in to if you so desire.

I love traveling and try to leave the country at least once a year. I have lived in 6 different cities but New York is my absolute favourite. So much great culture, food and people!
I'm a bit of a neat freak, I love colour and sunshine and making up songs. I love having guests and helping my friends enjoy New York like a local.
