Nice small house at the edge of Roskilde, the Viking Capitol.
The house was nice inside. CONS:The floor had debris on it so we could not walk around barefoot. It would have been nice if the floor had been swept. The bathroom door upstairs would not close because it is misaligned and it kept opening so there was no privacy. We were not given instructions on how to lock the front door. We left for dinner & left the apartment unlocked because we were waiting on the owner to respond. We were finally able to contact him & he walked us through the process. PROS: Nice apartment, about 30--40 minutes driving time to the downtown area, free parking, owner left instructions to one restaurant but if you have a GPS you'll find the other restaurants, it appeared to be a relatively safe neighborhood. Cold water in the fridge which was great for us, coffee was available, the house was hot but once the windows were opened the circulating breeze was amazing! The evenings are not quiet because it is a family oriented apartment complex however, if you do not mind children it is not bothersome. Parking is free and right by the apartment front door. The small patio is perfect to sit, relax enjoy spirits and watch the star filled sky!!!
Morten has a lovely house and all the amenities a family needs for a home away from home (e.g. WI-FI, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer). He was also a very friendly and helpful host. His place is located a 1-2 minute walk away from a main bus line, which goes both to Trekroner Station and Roskilde Station/town (the 201A), so transportation around town was not an issue. We would definitely stay here again as it was one of the loveliest airbnb places we've stayed at.
With a group of friends we were participating an obstacle run at the festival area in Roskilde. Morten's house was a great place for us to stay, at just a couple minutes drive from both the festival area as well a Roskilde's city centre. The house is very tidy, has nice sleeping rooms, bathroom and other amenities. Morten is a great host who is very helpful and who replies fast to any message.
We've stayed at Morten's house for 5 nights. We are students and the university is close by so that was great. Morten contacted me a lot during our stay and we could use everything in his house. It was really great! But you need to watch out at the supermarket Superbrugsen, we got a fee because we didn't know we had to use a parkingdisk.. But thanks Morten! You were a great host. Greetings 6 students from Holland.
