The entire upstairs level of the house and the backyard and front yard is available for guest access. Sometimes we stay in the basement if we're not out of town, but there is a separate entrance for that so you probably won't even see us during your stay - unless you want/need to!
We might be able to check you in, in person, or we might be out of town. Either way, we'll make sure you get what you need via email and text/calls if you'd like!
If you're a light sleeper or noise-sensitive, this isn't the place for you! Even though the front of the house doesn't face Table Mesa, we are located on a busy street and you can hear the traffic (ever so lightly) through the house. Just a head's up for really noise-sensitive folks.
At one point in the past, we had a few willing guests keep our pets, but we no longer do that as the pets no longer live here. Just don't want anyone confused by the reviews!
We have a swamp cooler (which is typical in Colorado), which cools the air to about 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This is sufficient to keep the house nice and cool on hot summer days. We also have fans in two of the bedrooms.
The fireplace works but is off limits to Airbnb users at this time.
A note about the backyard. Our beautiful grass died this summer so we will be re-seeding it after the winter season has passed.
You will find our home cozy and comfortable to entertain and rest in. That said, our home is NOT a party house or able to accommodate a rowdy crew. Mindful parents, courteous and attentive families and house guests are required. No smoking in our home or pets allowed. Although, feel free to smoke whatever you’d like outside on the patio (we are in Colorado after all!).
