Built by my grandfather, it's the perfect get away, offering quiet surroundings and simple comforts. It's at the village edge, almost in the woods, with a 10 min walk to one of Swedens largest lakes (Siljan), and a 20 min car ride to town (Leksand).
The cottage is 50 m2 with the first floor being the entrance hall and kitchen, and with the upper floor consisting of a combined bedroom / living room with a porch that allows a lovely view over the lake.
The cabin has two children's bed in the form of bunk beds (ca 160 cm in length) and a sofa bed for two adults (turns into twin beds).
Guests need to bring their own bedsheets and towels, but if necessary we can rent out some of our own for an extra 100kr/person. Note that the although the cabin has electricity we use the cabin as a cozy get away, and it therefor offers only most basics of comforts; toilet in the form of an outhouse and heating in the form of a radiator and starting a fire. There is no running water so water is retrieved from the stream next to the cottage and we take dips in the lake when needing a rinse.
The closest supermarket is 6 km away, so transportation of your own is recommended.
Family member lives in the neighbouring village, and is available if there are questions.
Pets and smaller get-togethers for celebrations of various types are allowed, but no smoking. Cottage has to be left as clean as it was found.
At times planning celebrations with groups of friends and/or family, and at times just meeting a friend to watch a movie and have some good food, whatever the situation, I am a very social being who value my friends. And of course, I love to travel.
