come enjoy the space that has a mixture of rusted memories, photographs, paintings, and musings collected in this airy traveler's home.
the house is located in a quiet neighborhood a mile from east atlanta village.
it offers works of personal art and photography. a lot of my time is spent traveling, farming, and making things. life is full of adventures and my home is a reflection of who i am and the things i love.
the room itself is cozy. dark walls offer a calming atmosphere but it gets plenty of daylight when you need it. the bed is comfy -- with soft organic sheets and pillows. there's a huge flat screen tv in the room if you are in retreat mode. the amazon fire will give you plenty to choose from - netflix, showtime, hulu, hbo, etc. the bathroom is across the hallway and is exclusively for you.
if you're up to it, come hang in the common area - watch a movie, read a book, or chat. there is usually someone cooking in the kitchen during meal hours.
there is also plenty of places to relax outside...sit on any of the porches or hammocks and enjoy.
breakfast is included in your stay, unless you're here for a month. i make my own yogurt, granola (sometimes), bread, and my chickens give us some pretty yummy eggs (seasonal).
i am deep believer in personal space. 'do your thang' unless you need information or we all just seem to need the company.
the overall feel of it here is like a laid-back international hostel but with respectful, responsible adults. and without the bs.
guest can feel free to hang in the common rooms which is the living room, kitchen, and all the outdoor areas.
you can call me at any time with any questions. i'm usually around or will be around at some point to help you navigate your way if you need.
breakfast is included in the price. it changes depending on when you stay but generally we offer: organic back yard eggs, bread, granola, homemade yogurt, organic fruit, and your choice of coffee, tea, matte, or dandy blend.
*please note that month long stays do NOT include breakfast provisions. month long stays are discounted deeply from the daily rate and will go towards the monthly utilities.
respect is common knowledge but we like to throw it out there at any rate. no smoking indoors. no outside guests. we also ask that you are careful with some of the antiques laying around. although, none of the items are of monetary value, they are keepsakes and hard to replace. also, we ask that you take your shoes off when entering the space - asian style. and, lastly but most importantly - this is tolerant and loving household. keep the hate out.
