The flat looks East towards Bredon hill and the Cotswolds across the Severn Valley. There is a sash window and on a clear day you can see 25 miles. The Holy Well is 800 yards up the lane and the spring water is free from source. The Three counties Showground is very close. The garden is stunning, Victorian Hotel style. The decor is upmarket and the price is super-reasonable! But it is only the sofa-bed in the living room for this price. A shared bathroom.
It isn't a huge flat but it is nicely decorated and clean. There is one flight of stairs, two front doors, a large parking area and exceptional views. The house is 200 years old and was built as a spa Hotel. There are beams and creaky floorboards. The facilities have been modernized and the kitchen and bathroom are perfectly adequate in size and with all the appliances that you may need, including a DeLonghi coffee machine and a NutriBullet600 smoothie maker. Most people say 'What a lovely flat!' The sofa bed is in the living room and the bathroom is en-suite from the main bedroom .
The garden is a communally shared space and you can walk all around the building but next to the 2 basement flats their areas of the gardens are private. There is plenty of parking space but its best to use a marked bay, Bay 5 which is very near the front door. The staircase is wide and curved and although there is only one flight of stairs you are 2 floors off the ground!
I am happy to communicate with guests as much or as little as they like. If the guests are a couple I often let them use the main bedroom and I sleep on the sofa bed.
Walking in the Hills is an absolute joy. There are over 50 fresh water springs which are dressed every May with flowers.
There are plenty of places to eat and to buy coffee in Great Malvern and there are some arty crafty shops. There is a Spa and a swimming pool and parks. There is a Theatre and a delightful Victorian railway station.
I would like my guests to be mindful of noise please. No dogs are allowed in the building. Doors have to be closed for insurance and fire regulations.
I have been an Airbnb host for 7 years. I am happy to share my space and to allow other people to visit the area, it really is quite special. In the summer months I like to go and work on organic farms as a volunteer for my keep with a charity called WWOOF. I usually visit communities that follow the principles of permaculture design and are off-grid or small holdings and individual farms.
I work for a charity called Age UK in Malvern helping the elderly folk with their housework and ironing. I also run a group called Reiki Share and do a little meditation and pilates.
My motto is ' Be the change you want to see in the world' a quote by Ghandi.
