“The Villa Woodrose” is a large property situated on an acre of land comprising an apple and pear Orchard in Dhomsu village, which is 10km away from Manali on the Manali-Naggar highway.
The highway is situated on the left bank of the river Beas, and has a distinct rural flavor with many villages, apple orchards, terraced paddy fields making an unforgettable panorama for the visitor.
The views from the house are spectacular and varied, ranging from snow clad mountain ranges to the entire hill behind covered by a pine forest.
The hostess Indu Banon, comes from the first family that started Guest House accommodation in Manali. The Banons are Irish settlers who fell in love with the mountain paradise and stayed on.
Today her family continues the tradition of hospitality.
From the “The Villa Woodrose” there are several trekking trails and beautiful temples within walking distance. Picnic spots abound with meadows, streams and waterfalls.
Most of all the property is a very quiet and exclusive one with nature abounding and with mountain birds that visit the orchard and Himalayan wildflowers that grow abundantly.
A visit to the Valley is a memorable one, at any time of the year as the seasons are distinctly different with apple white and cherry pink blossoms in spring, yellow gold leaves in fall and snow in winter.
Any visitor coming to the Valley is captivated by it’s beauty and carries home with him a lot of memories that are lasting.
One is reminded of the poetic words of Li Po:
I make my home in the mountains.
You ask why I live
Alone in the mountain forest,
And I smile and am silent
Until even my soul grows quiet;
It lives in the other world,
One that no one owns.
The peach trees blossom.
The water continues to flow.
Indu Banon will be present at the listing during their stay and will guide them according to their needs.
Four bedrooms are available, each with attached bathroom.
There is also a drawing room and dining room with attached sundeck.
