The flat is situated on the 6th floor of a secure block of 18 flats. The flat has an artistic feel to it with many homemade artworks on the walls. There is a small balcony off the living room.
Staying here you will have sole access to your room, access to shared bathroom and toilet. You will have shared access to the kitchen for the purpose of preparing sandwiches or having light breakfast.
We are happy to direct and advise guests on how to get to places of interest, what to see, or where to have a coffee or nice meal.
Stoke Newington is a great area for people to experience a true neighborhood and community feel. Church street has a range of independent shops and restaurants worth a visit. There are many choices for vegetarians as well as meat eaters :-) Clissold Park is a beautiful space with animal enclosures housing deer, goats and birds, tennis courts, swans and ducks on the lake, and a lovely cafe where you can sit on the hill and watch the world go by.
A 10 minute walk from either Manor House or Arsenal tubes for the Piccadilly line or Finsbury Park station for either the Victoria or Piccadilly line. You can also catch a bus to Manor House or Finsbury Park which is a 5 minute ride - the stop is around the corner. The 73 bus is a 5 minute walk away and goes direct to Victoria station via Angel and the West End. There are also buses going from High street to Dalston, Shoreditch and London Bridge. Canonbury Overground Station is also a reasonable walk away.
We have an 11 year old grey cat who prefers to stay out of the way of guests. She is part British Blue, curious, but likes the world on her own terms. We don't offer breakfast but there are numerous good, cheap breakfast cafes nearby. You are more than welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee however. We also provide all linen and towels.
Staying here you will have sole access to your room, access to shared bathroom and toilet.
Unfortunately we are ofter busy with work so our interaction will most likely be minimal at times. But there will always be time for a friendly hello and chat :)
We don't mind if you want to prepare sandwiches before your day out or want to have tea and light breakfast at home, but we would prefer if there was no heavy cooking involved as the flat is not really suitable for this. Also we are vegetarian and although we don't mind if you buy and store small amounts of meat products in our fridge for your sandwiches we would prefer if you did not bring large amounts of strongly smelling meats. I also often work from home, so our ideal guests are those who stay with us for the purpose of seeing London during the day. if you are moving home, rent your space and need somewhere to stay for a few days and you are planning to stay in all day then our home is not really suitable for this.
No excessive consumption of alcohol, no smoking inside the flat or on the building premises (please note we are on the 6th floor), obviously no drugs, and no other animals otherwise we are very flexible and reasonable and friendly :-).
