Our beautifully modernised apartment overlooks the village of Los Gigantes and the ocean with spectacular views to the island of La Gomera.
The apartment is directly accessible from the road using only 6 steps down. There are numerous local swimming pools available a short 5-10 minutes walk away. The main bus stop for travel to most parts of the island is approximately 7 minutes walk away. The transfer time from Tenerife South airport is generally about 45 minutes. The seating in the living room consists of a sofa bed suitable for 2 sitting (single bed) and a sofa for 2 people.
The beautiful village of Los Gigantes is set on the South West coast of Tenerife. Majestic cliffs and the blue Atlantic ocean dominate the vista. The apartment boasts spectacular views over the sea to view the entire island of La Gomera and is an easy, almost horizontal, walk of some 300 metres from the village where most daily necessities can be found. This includes a supermarket and the bus stop where buses take you to a number of other destinations on the island. There is a lovely marina, good shopping and first class cuisine specializing in locally caught fish. Nearby are Puerto de Santiago and the Blue-Flag beach of Playa de la Arena, both within a short distance of each other. They are just south of the famous cliffs of Los Gigantes (The Giants), and about 20 miles (30 kilometres) north west of Los Cristianos. It is generally acknowledged that the year-round climate in this, the island's most westerly region, is among the best in the Canaries.
I am a chartered accountant having qualified in 1973 in Cardiff, Wales.
On qualifying I worked in Rome for 2 years with intrnational accounting firm, Deloittes and subsequently developed my own accounting firm in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK.
While there I kept a yacht in Salcombe and Plymouth, Devon from where we sailed to France and the Channel Islands.
Needing another challenge I moved back to Italy in 2006 with my wife, Elizabeth who speaks Welsh (not always useful in Italy!!) where I started renovating property including one in Mougins, near Cannes, France.
My love of rugby has taken me on a British Lions tour to Australia and follow Wales in South Africa. Further travels have taken us to Mauritius, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi in Malaysia as well as most of Europe and a cruise on the Nile.
As a result of this we have built up a good idea of what people want when staying away from home.
