Come join us for stunning views, bonfires, hiking, skiing, sledding, ice skating, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hot-tubbing, and much more! Look out at Camel's Hump and Sugarbush from your deck then head out for a hike or snowshoe right from your front door. Return to a bonfire, smores and hot tub for some of the best stargazing in New England.
This cabin is situated on 40 acres, and is surrounded by 1000s of acres of pristine state forest. Right in your front yard you can enjoy a bonfire in our open fire pit, sled with the kids, ice skate on our pond, practice your terrain park moves on several ski and snowboard jumps, set off for a snowshoe, hike, cross-country ski, or skin to the top of "Hatchet", our very own ski trail! Bring your snowmobile and enjoy easy access to the VAST trail system. Relax afterwards in a brand new top of the line 7 person hot tub while watching the sun sink between Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield.
For those who want to head to a ski mountain, Stowe/Mt Mansfield is 25 minutes away, and Sugarbush is approximately 35 minutes. Bolton, with lots of great backcountry, is roughly 20 minutes.
The hot tub is located at the main cabin, about 200 feet from the guest cabin you are renting. While it is located on the main house deck, you will have access to it at any time, and it cannot actually be seen from inside our cabin so it is still a private space
Four wheel drive is required in inclement weather (major snow or ice storm)
PLEASE NOTE: dogs are welcome with prior approval only. We need to know breed, size, age, etc. We have yet to say no to any dog but we have had several issues and we reserve the right to decline
There is absolutely no smoking on the entire property, indoors and out.
No beverages or food in the hot tub. The filters are sensitive and very painstaking to clean.
We have small children and we do spend a lot of time here, with no incidents thus far. BUT this property is FAR from child-proof in any way. There is no railing on the deck, there is an easily accessible pond, etc. So we welcome children--we have 4 ourselves and it is truly kid paradise--but please know that you will need to keep an eye out for the little ones :)
My husband, Jonathan, and I love to spend time with our four kids, sailing our little harbor "Robin Hood", snowboarding, surfing, and...well, you name an adventure and we probably love it! We split our time between Boston, Vermont, Vinalhaven ME, and living aboard Robin Hood. Even when we are not in town, we are always available via text or email to help make your stay as fantastic as possible.
