“Casa Felice” is a gated, detached property situated on a no-through road which leads directly to the park of 'Torre del Fiscale'. An archaeological park of the Appian Way, Torre del Fiscale is a sizeable green space scattered with ancient ruins including the 600 year old working aqueduct Felice. The park is perfect for strolling, jogging, cycling (cycle paths), picnics, ball games, dog walking, bird watching or just sitting and relaxing! A local museum, an organic restaurant, bicycle hire and a children’s playground are also available here.
Within short walking distance you will find a 3km stretch of local shops, including supermarkets, boutiques, chemists, hair salons, green grocers and markets. (This is a great place to shop, away from the tourist prices in the centre). From here you can access both Metro line 'A' and regular bus services, via which the many sights and delights of Rome are only a short trip away.
Locally there are facilities to play golf, swim, do yoga, horse ride, play tennis, visit Rome's film studios and go to gladiator school.
The estate agents laughed at us when we told them our needs (as did most Italians) An independent house, with no one above or below you. Near a lovely park big enough to go for a run with the dog. A metro station close by. Every type of shop within walking distance. A genuine Italian community i.e. non touristy. No problems with parking. Near some Roman history and a large, large terrace. The estate agent earned his commission as our house ticks all those boxes and many more!
