GUESTS TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN: Due to our collection of artwork, antiques and furnishings, we've opted for a no child policy. We love children, but the guest house is not baby-proofed or set up for kids. That said, we have made concessions for guests traveling with mature children and babies in the past. We are completely open to working with you to see if the guest house is a good fit.
No pets. No smoking. No parties. No surprises. A cleaning fee will be assessed for violations of the no smoking/no pet/no party policy.
Please stow your shoes and boots by the door. We prefer to keep the rest of the house a no-shoes zone – thank you.
Please wash your dishes and take your garbage out to the trash cans under the back porch across from the garage.
Please turn off the air conditioners before you check-out.
Please turn down the thermostat to 60 degrees before you check out (not all the way off).
I'm a writer, marketing consultant and designer who splits time between Upstate NY and New York City. My girlfriend Erin and I love to travel, discover fun towns, eat great food, hunt for antiques, and welcome newcomers to the Hudson Valley.
I publish a blog that's dedicated to travel, food and culture in Upstate NY called An Upstate of Mind. If you do a quick search, it should come right up. I’m happy to provide recommendations for restaurants, day trips and other attractions tailored around whatever you like to do.
