Our group of 9 (two familes with teenagers) stayed in this home for 6 nights. The home is very tastfully decorated and the rooms are all spacious. The common areas on the first floor (kitchen, living room and dining room) were well suited to a large group of people. The front porch was charming with comfortable seating. The television and internet were as described.
Other than that, I feel the description of the property was very misleading. There is airconditioning only in certain rooms (my husband slept on the living room couch most nights as our bedroom was not air-conditioned). If you left the bedroom windows open, the street noise was incredibly loud (all night long) and you were at risk of the pigeons flying in the room in the morning (that happened our third morning there). The view from the kitchen and bedroom windows is of a balcony across the street full of laundry and trash.
The home is not completely set up to be a rental property for a large group. Although I asked our host before we arrived if we would need anything specific (hairdryers, soap, etc) and was told we would not, there was only one hairdryer. We went to the market to buy soap, paper towels, saran wrap, etc. We had to ask for more toilet paper, bath towels and dish towels (there was only one). There were no instructions for things like the coffe maker or oven.
While Cannes and Antibes were close by via car, the host's estimates of 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to Cannes did not apply in June....20 and 30 minutes are more realistic.
I personally, did not find the village "beautiful" or have "so much to do." It was very Urban. I would not have felt comfortable walking on the streets at night. Many, many businesses were closed up permanently. Those that were open, were open sporadically. We could count on finding bakeries open in the morning, and there was a coffee shop and an Italian restaurant (it was very good) that were open consistently. Most of the other restaurants we saw were rarely or never open.
Parking at the house was horrible. As a group of 9, we had two sedans. Parking is in the front courtyard shared with the adjacent home, behind an electronic gate, right off the street. The host has a car parked in the courtyard as well. Parking the two cars and leaving the courtyard for the street required a spotter for the drivers (despite the fact that our drivers were an ex-military fighter pilot and driving enthusiast who has taken Porche sport driving courses multiple times).
Overall, our experience was terrible. We feel very taken advantage of. The price and description in no way matched the actual accommodations.
