Sheila is a welcoming host, and quite accessible through texting. Her neighborhood & house are as quiet as you will find in a large urban area. The bed is comfortable (memory foam!), large closet including hangers, humongous TV screen (we didn't use it, but says "Dish network"). Trains run behind the house, but they are infrequent, short, fast & quiet. Street parking easily found on her block. I think the Bay area has about 6 hot days in a whole year; no worries about air conditioning; we were happy during the first week of October to use the comforter she provided. And their problem (drought) means it never seems to rain; always sunny in California.
Items to know: no food nor shoes in the room. She will make space in the fridge & cupboard for your food, and offers breakfast (clean up after yourself). We drink tea & she has an electric tea pot; coffee is instant. Strip mall just a few blocks away and lots of major roads. We found Sheila's place convenient & comfortable; we hope to return.
