A stunning holiday home. Breathtaking sea views one way; the excellent Plockton Inn the other. Set over 3 floors, this simply incredible property is perfect for holidays and special occasions. Full of paintings. Comfortable new beds with crisp linen. Fluffy big towels and bathrobes. Tv's in all bedroom and a big one in the living room.
Its a big old house, 3 floors, with large rooms. There's a log fire and piano. Plockton is both romantically beautiful and warmly welcoming. The inn is just opposite, with real ale and excellent seafood. Lively traditional music evenings. The sea loch, Loch Carron, is yards away. Look up the Plockton website!
You can get here by car, train, boat or by private airplane.
There have been opera singers staying, painting and drawing courses, walking groups from the USA , ashtanga yoga sessions, seaweed foraging days, bridge playing weekends and quite a few wedding parties! There are always a variety of artworks for sale on the walls and in the sculpture garden. Adult groups of family or friends are perfect. If you enjoy the Scottish highlands, the sea AND art, you will love here!
Guests have access to the 3-storey front of the building and all the garden. There is a front door into a porch, good for coats and boots. The owner retains the back wing of the building with totally separate back doors. Although she is often away, these back rooms are not accessible. There is one place for parking at the front, onto Innes Street. And ample parking usually on the street or in the harbour car park, just 50 metres away.
Miriam, the owner, lives next door, in the back wing of the building, and so is usually available for advice and hep if needed.
Wifi does not always work in Plockton! And in my (URL HIDDEN) seems particularly temperamental!
No smoking in the house please.
Bottles to the bottle banks in the car park and rubbish split into the recycling bins please.
Enjoy the paintings and sculptures but handle with care, thank you.
Enjoy it all!

I've lived in Plockton for 15 years. I chose to live here because I fell in love with my big old house and it's location. Plockton is the friendliest ,most beautiful village by the sea.
I'm an artist and my partner Rick lives in Perthshire where I have my main painting studio.
My career has been a portfolio of art related projects. Such as designing and marketing paperweights, running art courses, teaching art, curating art exhibitions and of course working in my studio.
We have a 27' yacht in Plockton bay and we plan to spend more time sailing this year. Plus do more long distance walking. And enjoying our growing families.
The walls of my house are full of paintings. And there is a lot of sculpture around....
I'm happy to sell artwork and can deliver or ship anywhere.
